TWRP 2.2.0 is now live! See OP for the new features!
Now this makes twrp way above the rest. I like the keyboard feature, the ability to rename backups right then rather then wait til its done and going into a file explorer to rename it. Thank you.
Just want to say that if you are running one of the themes for twrp you will have to remove the theme to see the new features.

Now that there is an on-screen keyboard, how about adding a terminal/console to this recovery. That would be a great addidtion to this recovery.

Disregard I re-read the OP again and it does have it. Thank you so much for that addition!

You mean like under "Advanced?"

It does say this in the OP:
- Pseudo-terminal emulator

EDIT: I see you found it ;).

Not that really matters because there are plenty of alternatives, but I'm just curious to why this can't be flashed through fastboot with s-off.

Anyway, very cool update.

It absolutely can! Did you download the updated HBOOT from the Lazy Panda site? On the initial release, "fastboot flash" was broken. regaw's Bootloader Customizer also has the updated version.

Ah, okay thanks for the clarity. I didn't try to flash through fastboot, I just read (or misread) the disclaimer on the op.. And yes, I'm on the updated Hboot.

Any reason (I couldnt find it searching the thread) that TWRP will not Nandroid for me? I can flash a rom, and do just about everything, but I can not backup. All that happens is I get the appropriate screen and status bar, which quickly fills (Under 5 seconds) and I get the success note. There are no backup files saved...Just started doing this with this update.

Do you have sufficient room on your sd card?

I'd hope that there'd be a warning for insufficient space instead of a success message...
Perhaps there's a need to select where to backup to first?
Did you try the update yet? It may have been a bad dl in the beginning. The backups run great for me.

Team Win Recovery Project 2.2, or twrp2 for short, is a custom recovery built with ease of use and customization in mind. It’s a fully touch driven user interface – no more volume rocker or power buttons to mash. The GUI is also fully XML driven and completely theme-able. You can change just about every aspect of the look and feel.

NOTES:
If you are S-OFF you may not be able to use fastboot to flash, either install via goo manager (much easier) or use the bootloader flashable zip on the teamw.in site. Or check for updated S-OFF hboots from lazy panda.

CHANGELOG (for 2.2.0):
- On-screen keyboard in recovery! -- supports long press, backspace repeat, and swipe left deletes everything left of the cursor
- Name new backups and rename existing backups
- Rename files and folders in the file manager
- Pseudo-terminal emulator
- Support decrypting an encrypted data partition on Galaxy Nexus (enter password using keyboard)
- Backup archive splitting -- allows backup and restore of data partitions larger than 2GB
- Simplified XML layout support between resolutions
- Added dual storage selection radio buttons to zip install, backup, and restore pages
- Improved zip install compatibility
- Updated update-binary source code
- Numerous small bug fixes and improvements

Very simple to install and worked just fine the first time...Thanks!

Is it the same procedure to update it? I have the previous TWRP installed. Thanks.

Noob, off-topic question. What's is the reason for updating the Hboot? I just ran lazy-panda for S-off last night. Didn't notice the Hboot download. Do you just flash it like anything else?

Thanks in advance.
