I actually compiled a new version for people that are on the 4.4.2 ota that @annoyingduck was testing out for me that also fixed the usb bootloop and dark screen. also had mount usb storage and usbotg working not sure about adb tho.

it seems the new ota does not play well with AOSP roms they have a weird screen dimming issue and they boot up funny so I ended up rolling back to 4.2.2 with a kdz
so I don't know . maybe I could put a separate version of TWRP in the op whether it be yours or mine
or maybe a new thread is in order

What do you guys think?

here is my build if anyone wants to try it out

test-v500-TWRP_2.7.0.1-recovery.zip
Definitely put yours in the op. Rereading my post I wasn't clear. Mine is intentionally crippled. It has product as awifi not v500 so it would fail zip installs that have assert checks until I had time to check them today. It was just to discover the fix for screen dim/USB to pass on to you anyway. I'm removing the link for mine if you have the fix in place.(Tested your build just now)

I don't think a new thread is necessary. It's just a matter of keeping the OP straight with all the versions LOL. Maybe a 4.2.2 section, and 4.4.2 section based on what your "base" LG ROM was, and a final section with the older builds. Likely when LG releases this newer kernel source it can be cleaned up to one version again anyway.

4.2.2

recovery.lok a
recovery.lok c
recovery.lok e
2.7.0.1 OTG.zip

4.4.2

2.7.0.1 OTG.zip
(most people are using @id10terror script to put on TWRP so no need for lok there, he just needs to put the fixed lok in his script)

Archive

2.6.3
2.7
2.7B
2.7.0.0 OTG
etc

USB plugged bootloop and dim screen issues are fixed. Also USB OTG works like a charm.
ADB doesn't seem to be working though..

When you get something official posted I'll update my threads with links back to this thread so people are aware of the fix. :)

I haven't tried yet, but would there be any issues flashing our current aosp builds on the full kk firmware/recovery? I would think it "should" be fine because we don't have a radio and they all boot on the jb bootstack.

I'm laying down laminate floor and have Internet down and typing this on a phone is awful. My first build had no adbd. Check /sbin in the out directory or ramdisk or installed version which ever and see if it's there, if not then that's the problem. I never did figure it out with device tree you have or the cyanogen so I made a new device tree based on a really simple version I use for the nabi TWRP and then adbd was built.

Thanks but you didn't have to do all that typing on your phone for me LOL:silly:

any way I flashed back to 50020b and tested out adb and it all seems to be working ok
tested adb sideload, adb push, and adb pull and all seem to be working

so I'll update the op with a new build, Then maybe reorganize it:)

Edit OP updated
@id10terror feel free to add the 4.4.2 build to your script or just link back to the op its your choice.

Sounds good.. I'll link the Stock ROM threads to the newly compiled TWRP. Thanks!

Hi, i wanted to ask if you knew a way i could put twrp on my v50020b. I bought mine from the uk and its currently rooted on the stock ota 4.4.2. I have tried several methods including this one and the one on teamwins website but have been unsuccessful. I am not sure if other people are having problems like i am but thought you could help. I could also provide screenshots of the cmd terminal if needed.

Thanks in advance. :)

where is the twrp.lok file for 4.4.2-v500-TWRP_2.7.0.1-recovery.zip ?
there isn't one the recovery.img gets loki patched during the flashing process

Any possibility we could get TWRP on the VK810?
