TWRP 2.8.2.0 Touch for A117 ​

Team Win Recovery Project 2.x, or twrp2 for short, is a custom recovery built with ease of use and customization in mind. Its a fully touch driven user interface no more volume rocker or power buttons to mash. The GUI is also fully XML driven and completely theme-able. You can change just about every aspect of the look and feel.

CHANGELOG for 2.8.2.0:
-Pull in all changes from Android 5.0 lollipop into TWRP
-Add decrypt support for Android 5.0 lollipop encrypted partitions including automatic decrypt when the default_password is in use
-Revert some changes to exFAT that were breaking exFAT support on some devices
-Other minor fixes and updates
- MTP supported while you are in recovery ( Cool feature isn't it )

Note: At this time we do not have a GUI representation for pattern unlock. You can still decrypt patterns though by translating the pattern dots to numbers. The pattern dots correspond to numbers in the following pattern:
1 2 3
4 5 6
7 8 9

So an upper-case L would translate to a password of 14789 entered on the keyboard. Eventually we plan to add a proper pattern unlock to TWRP but it is a relatively low priority at this point

INSTRUCTIONS :

To install recovery it requires ROOT in the first hand. So root your device. .

1) Install TWRP Manager from the Play Store
2) Open TWRP Manager and provide root permissions
3) Hit Advanced->Install Recovery
4) Verify the correct device name on your screen then press Install Recovery if the correct device is showing

TWRP for Micromax A117

The recovery is officially supported by TWRP and hence whenever Teamwin team update their recovery it will be automatically available for download via their official TWRP app

It was a leaked source which was available in net some 8 months back. Your device too has kernel source i suppose.

My device kernel is on github for mmx A1 but it is using an differnet bootloader so i doubt that it wont work

Guys i just compiled twrp for Mmx A120 on kitkat 4.4.2 kernel .
All features working.. Screenshot and upload on MicoMOD thread very soon

@anuragdc Remember that Canvas 4 has 6mb recovery limit. So if you are porting you need to make it fit within 6mb. A117 has 7mb partition and hence the recovery size of this TWRP is close to 7mb
@NeroD If u need me to work for A210 PM me here or my fb profile as it will be much comfortable ( link available in my profile ) as i would need some live support and some files as well.

I think we have to remove some binaries and make a lite version for canvas 4 . But micoMOD community is now porting 2.8 for A120 .. It will be out by tonight .. Thnx guys
