Yes I had used the latest one. What exactly are you doing?
I just installed new rom (esports version 1.6 cn android pie and before I was coming from global rom v1.09 - android 8.1.1), and its all success. But, now I want to go to twrp to install magisk and gapps, whenever I go to recovery it shows TWRP ver blablabla... after that it goes blank... even if I try to update zip through the os itself it will always go to TWRP which is showing blank after logo...., so I'm thinking using the stock recovery now. I'm a bit stuck... :crying: Thanks

That's the main issue. The TWRP kernel hasn't been updated to pie yet. So you are having that issue. Flash stock recovery and just use USB otg. Yes USB otg option is there in the official recovery to flash the update.zip file. I would suggest you to flash back 8.1.1 only. Even the treble support Isnt there for us on pie. So better flash back global ROM 8.1.1. and gsi don't even boot don't bother to ping phhusun. We are doomed lol.

thanks a lot, man... appreciate it. But, now... I still don't get it, how do I go back to stock 8.1.1 when I don't have access to recovery itself? and also, where is the option for USB otg? I don't see any of it on the pie version?

Don't you have update.Zip of 8.1.1 ROM?

yes, I have it, the problem when I want to reflash it, it should go to recovery right? even if I flash it through the OS itself, it will always go to recovery. which, in my case, it will always go blank after the logo... or... am I missing something?

Did you try to reboot to emergency recovery option?

no luck with emergency recovery... blank only with the screen on,

I found a way (at least it works for me many times already)...,
When you got a problem similar like me, recovery stuck at blank screen, Here you go:

1. first, go to fastboot mode, and from command prompt i did unlock ("fastboot oem nubia_unlock NUBIA_NX609J")
2. second, I go with "fastboot -w" command (this will erase your user data, etc, not the rom itself don't worry, please CMIIW),
3. third, I re-install the recovery "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img". Done, from there just boot to recovery

and voila!. :)

I had all these issues, but I forget that this crap device relock bootloader with each boot. Meehhh... I had figured out this long ago. I have been trying to help developers to get pie or any other updated custom ROM on this ****ty device lol. But none has this. Those who had they are unwilling to do anything so the thing is we are doomed lol
