If anyone needs some good themes.
If anyone needs some good themes.

I had no issues installing Nougat RR using official TWRP in the past, but I moved to @bhb27's mod due to better support on quark. I see no reason to update unless there's a major feature.Hello,
Any feedback on the 3.2.1.0 version from the official TWRP website?

For your information I could install RR Nougat without issue with this one.
Me personally, i always keep BHB27's version installed. when and if there is something good, he updates his version. that is the only time i feel the need to update it.Hello,

Update on TWRP and encryption.
As TWRP can be used for backup and to remove encryption (only by formatting the Data partition yes losing all data apps, pic, videos, Downloads etc) I here will update to the latest test I did on it...
Before august 11 encryption on quark wasn't working on Nougat, I fix that and retest updating here the "how to do and undo"...
To encrypt Nougat ROM just, go to settings > Security > Encrypt phone
I recommend to setup a password to make files password protect even on TWRP, I personally only test with password.
To remove is simple but as TWRP show some error may be confusing so don't be alarm by the errors just fallow instructions.
After tipping the password and it be accepted you will see this on TWRP

After that OK load and you chose to remove encryption (if you don't know the password you can skip it and use this process to remove encryption), click on:
wipe > format data
tipe "yes"
and you will see this errors.

Don't be alarmed is all ok
Now go back and reboot to recovery
after the reboot no password will be asked, go and redo the before
wipe > format data
tipe "yes"
After that the result will be OK

Now is all fine you have successfully removed the encryption and erase all the data losing all data apps, pic, videos, Downloads etc I assume you understad that and did the backups before
you can restart your device encrypt again or not.
in doubt let me know...
One yours writing is confusing.

Update what?
TWRP 3.2.X seems to be a lot about updating to Oreo or for stuff we don't have on our phones. I looked at the changelog for 3.2.0 and 3.2.1:
ROM?Just wanted to let you know, when I hit format data it says unable to decrypt and errors out, but I'm able to format the partitions separately in "Advanced Wipe." Didn't have this issue on 3.1.1_mod-2. No big deal, just wanted to give you a heads up.
I never use a passcode/screen unlock so I should've been decrypted this whole time, I think (?). I was coming from the 20180724 LineageOS unofficial build, but it got borked somehow. I tried to format data via TWRP 3.2.3, but it failed with the "unable to decrypt to reformat mkfs.f2fs" error. I erased all the partitions manually using TWRP's Advanced wipe and booted to bootloader and did "fastboot erase system boot userdata" (which worked), but when I booted back to TWRP 3.2.3, and tried to reflash the Lineage ROM it wouldn't boot. I ultimately used the Verizon reset tool from fastboot, then booted back to fastboot, "fastboot erase all," and reflashed TWRP. When trying to format data via TWRP I was still getting the "unable to decrypt" error, but this time when I reflashed LineageOS using TWRP it was able to boot successfully. Sorry if this is too much info; I'm not entirely sure what's relevant, and didn't want to leave anything out that I shouldn'tROM?
Is data encrypted?
I just need to know the ROM more because of the OS and not just the date, and if you encrypted yours data, I don't get that from yours answer.I never use a passcode/screen unlock so I should've been decrypted this whole time, I think (?). I'm not sure how the ROM broke, and sorry I don't have any logs, I already wiped. I used this ROM https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-maxx/development/rom-t3812506, the 20180724 release. I never encryped data. I'm unencrypted which is why it's weird that it's giving me an encrypted error when I try to format data in TWRP. The initial fact that my ROM broke isn't the problem, it's that when I tried to format data it errored out, and that error persisted even after factory resetting to Verizon stock, and re-wiping and re-ROMing back to LineageOS.I just need to know the ROM more because of the OS and not just the date, and if you encrypted yours data, I don't get that from yours answer.
maybe the "borked somehow" is the reason it fail I don't know, but i can with the proper time test, as long as I know what to test.
