What is TWRP?

Team Win Recovery Project 2.x, or twrp2 for short, is a custom recovery built with ease of use and customization in mind.
Its a fully touch driven user interface no more volume rocker or power buttons to mash.
The GUI is also fully XML driven and completely theme-able. You can change just about every aspect of the look and feel.

INSTALLATION
PC:

• Download TWRP-x.x.x.x-Y550.img to your computer
• Reboot to bootloader: adb reboot-bootloader
• Flash recovery: fastboot flash recovery PathToRecoveryYouJustDownloaded.img
• Reboot phone: fastboot reboot

Phone: You can use Flashify App!
or this method:

• Download TWRP-x.x.x.x-Y550.img to your phone
• Open Terminal Emulator
• Grant Superuser: su
• Copy Recovery: dd if=PathToRecoveryYouJustDownloaded.img of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/recovery

BOOT INTO TWRP

• adb reboot recovery
• Turn off phone and press Volume UP and Power Button simultanously

f2fs will be provided while flashing Android 5.x+ based ROMs.

I added the 'cust' partition (Huawei store StockROM stuff here).

Battery bug still needs to be fixed but most stuff should be fixed now.

you can add this in your boardconfig.mk:

it will fix some tz error you can find in recovery log.

will edit cos i have another update for you bud.

I successfully flashed this using flashify from a CM11 rom. The screen brightness is very dull in TWRP btw, if possible try and increase the brightness on any future builds that are made.

For me the brightness works as in prior builds made by @patrik.KT.

You can also set the brightness in Settings->Screen. Use the spinners to set brightness appropriate.

I already pushed my source code for the new TWRP UI 6.0 - 2.8.7.0 in my github ( branch 2.8.7.0 ) !

I already updated graphics.c and in my G620S , twrp works without any issues !

You should add your device into init/init_g620s.cpp !

I didn't added f2fs or /cust partition !

There is no reason to enable /cust partition on twrp, cause we use twrp for custom rom's - and for stock Huawei rom , the developers can perform all operations regarding /cust in his updater-script .

We had some difficulties but we are on the good way.
