Instructions to install twrp and root not wifi error on all rom
Resources:

Copy all into adb folder
Proceed:
1. Connect the device in fastboot mode, enter the command cmd: fastboot boot TWRP-3.3.1-1004-ASUS_ROG2-CN-wzsx150.img (boot, not flash boot, I do not write missing)
The machine will automatically boot into twrp
2. In Twrp choose Advanced => ADB sideload, enter the command: adb sideload TWRP-3.3.1-1004-ASUS_ROG2-CN-wzsx150.zip
3. Reboot into Twrp, repeat the Twrp step 2, select Advanced => ADB sideload, enter the command: adb sideload Magisk-v20.0.zip
Done, start the device and enjoy!

Really so latest Twrp makes wifi not working? I guess no reason for rooting my devoce if this is the problem

I tried this...it booted fine with root, and wifi working, but the next reboot, slot was corrupt. I will try again

Nope, after Fastboot boot twrp.img, it reboots to bootloader. I then try command again, it reboots to slot is unbootable.

Yes, now you must flash stock boot ww25 to slot a and stock boot ww21 to slot b then...do not install magisk 20, just install root from twrp

why "boot"?
TWRP is a recovery, so command is:
fastboot flash recovery TWRP-3.3.1-1004-ASUS_ROG2-CN-wzsx150.img

The new A/B partitioning setup messes with that. You have to flash it to boot first for temporary recovery, then use that to flash a permanent installer to patch the boot images (A/B).

wzsx150's TWRP was released but I didn't see a thread here, so here's recovery that everyone would flash.

DISCLAIMER:
This is build for the CN variant of ROG Phone 2, I don't know if it works on other variants, but it's possible to restore the official recovery back to your phone.

Current version is 3.3.1-1004.
