This will give you a new recovery. Just flashing SuperSU will not give you root per se. You could use this to flash a ROM which has root enabled or use Kanga root tool to get you root. Ah you are on 4.3, I understand your dilemma.

Hello asking here for a friend who owns the i9506. Can I just fastboot the recovery.img? And if that's possible, after getting the recovery is it possible to flash chainfire's supersu zip for root?

Edit: nvm I've already seen the answers.

Did you rename directory name of your backup? If yes, rename it back to previous name.

but also for you as info ........you can only restore with that cwm where you did the backup ....restoring with different cwm is not possible.

Hi all
Can somebody confirm that mounting system or mounting sdcard from this cwm works ok?
If so, can someone combine http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2529064 CWM 6.0.3.7 fix-excard, which works fine with external sd card with this so as to have thed correct combination?
Every cwm I've tried from thread above mounts int sd(or even system only) as CD and not working, either in Windows XP or Win7...

EDIT : With this cwm as soon as I mount system or usb storage I'm getting a Samsung Android Hardware found wizard asking for driver...all drivers are installed on the pc unless I'm missing something...

Thanks

Getting this after flashing with Odin:

EDIT: never mind, had to un-tick "Auto Reboot" and yank the battery to be able to avoid the stock recovery being re-flashed on boot.

bricked my phone?

Hi,

I have 2x i9506 and currently running DeHAWK rooted ROM on both of them.

I tried to upgrade one of them on CyanogenMod 11.0 from Solk2 to give it a try and see how far it is, so as indicated I started by trying to install CWM with ODIN (on top of DeHAWK ROM), while doing so the CWM install in ODIN and now stuck with a "bricked" phone... see screenshots:

IMG_20140624_154611.jpg
IMG_20140624_154639.jpg

I can still access ODIN but cannot seem to upload anything and always get the same message from ODIN and from the phone:

ODIN
<ID:0/012> Firmware update start..
<ID:0/012> recovery.img
<ID:0/012> NAND Write Start!!
<ID:0/012> Complete(Write) operation failed.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)

Phone
"Invalid percent of drawing download progress bar!"

Any idea what I should do to recover it?

Tks in advance.
