oh ok, i thought i cost you some files. how is it formatted?
No no, just couldn't access it in recovery. It's FAT32. Don't know where or when I last formatted it though (used it on my Galaxy S4). I formatted the Kingston (that I replaced it with) through Android. Just copying off the data from the Samsung UHS-1 and seeing if formatting it the same way will help. :) Will let you know results.

EDIT: No dice! Reformatting within Android (same process as Kingston MicroSD) did not change anything. Still unable to mount. Definitely the SD card. Maybe add into first post that certain SD cards(UHS-1?) may not mount, even if working under android. Not exactly a bug though.

soooo....I got my device today. I'm having the same issue as VPnair. ...SD card works fine when the device is booted, but not in recovery. I'm using a G.Skill Class 6 16gb card. ..not sure if it is a UHS-1 card. Either way I worked around it. made a back up to device memory then moved the backup. Currently I'm rooted with exposed installed.

TA********BS fastboot

F:\files\adt-bundle-windows-x86-20140321\sdk\platform-tools>fastboot flash recovery CWM-6.0.5.0-peregrine.img
error: cannot load 'CWM-6.0.5.0-peregrine.img'

works when i do:

fastboot boot CWM-Touch-6.0.5.0-peregrine.img
can you make sure that the recovery img is there? looks like you are using 2 different files for those 2 commands...

Ahh I feel stupid now was trying to flash the non touch file but had them in different directories

Edit: I have been having an issue trying to navigate the touch recovery with volume/power buttons sometimes while trying to scroll through the list with vol buttons it selects something i didn't want to anyone else?

Touch controls and all features seem to work perfectly however.

Edit 2: Navigation in non touch recovery works perfectly with hardware buttons.

Can't load recovery

yes :) spent several hours last night trying to work on the dts files and seif i could figure it out and had a test build this morning only to find out that moto pushed new source that fixed it :p
My XT1045 is unlocked and rooted. Every time I try to enter recovery I get the "dead" android figure. Otherwise, the device functions perfectly. How can I get CWM installed if I have no base recovery? If I have to flash a new factory image, do I have to root over again?

Thanks.

did you fastboot flash recovery?

sorry about delays in things, got held up in personal stuff. im just going to throw my ugly ass device trees up on github tomorrow so peopel can fork them, contribute, fix things, and put out builds for roms that i didnt. i dont have the device so i must be honest the desire to get it 100% probably isnt as strong as the people who do have it :p but while the files may not be perfect or my commit history pretty. it will at least get em out and able for people to help, ive talked with dhacker and darkshado regarding the device and i imagine youll have full working roms before too terribly long. who knows, half the bugs may even just be caused by me :p.

Used the Superboot Windows app found here on XDA:

"fastboot-moto-windows.exe boot boot.superboot.img"

Quotes added.

well from that you are just booting it once, you want to actually flash it.
Thanks for the quick response. Is the img appropriate for a US XT1045? The phone still says peregrine, and I don't want to screw it up further.

So if I understand correctly, flash the img file from superboot, and then CWM? or just flash CWM?

Thanks agian.

i would sugegst stop trying to use tools and or scripts because when they dont work as intended you dont know where to go. in order to unlock your bootloader you needed to install teh sdk and use fastboot, just issuing the fastboot flash recovery "c:\path\to\recovery.img" will flash it for ya if your phone is in bootloader mode and conencted via usb.

Thanks for the guidance, however, I unlocked the bootloader via Motorola's instructions. I picked up the superboot here on XDA. Just don't know why it blew the recovery. So my question remains: Flash CWM and use it as recovery?

Thanks.

Device tree is updated with latest files, commit history and code looks like ass so please dont judge me off that :p

it needs a modded msm8226-common here is a quick commit of all the work needed to get msm8226-common to where i have it for the aosp builds ive posted. https://github.com/Shabbypenguin/an...mmit/b8f6ebe57217d04ec6b407df068005e4d50e4c9d with those two repos and the rest of teh dependancies file you should be able to build any of the aosp roms with the same level of bugs/issues/features as what i have. i was hoping to clean it up some but then i got hung up on personal stuff, now other people can help contribute :)

not done just yet :p just taking my time with things now. there was a big rush and hurry building cwm and then cm my poor computer was maxxed out for a few days, i would do a build and then while its uploading try tweaking a few things and then recompile. ive got a few other devices im working on cwm for right now and when i get some time and a clear head ill take another whack at peregrine. truth be told, destiny beta starts tomorrow so it porbably wont be until after that is finished :p (i love me some bungie :D)
