The steps then are... Update recovery and re-flash magisk? In the past, with other smartphones, if I flashed the recovery and rebooted I would lose the boot to ROM. That's why I'm afraid and ask before doing anything.

I see that the Orangefox Team is still working on the new Version R12.1 which will support Android 12 but that Version is not ready to build it yet as it still seems to have many bugs and issues.
As soon they fully release it I will build it for our Oneplus 8t.

Download
Boot it with: fastboot boot OrangeFox-R11.1-Unofficial-OnePlus8T.img
or flash it directly with: fastboot flash recovery OrangeFox-R11.1-Unofficial-OnePlus8T.img
You can also adb sideload the zip file from any other recovery
After flashing a ROM (Android 11 or lower) and doing a Format Data, you need first Boot to System once, otherwise the Internal Storage is not accessible from OrangeFox.
ROM Flashing instructions:
-Flash ROM
-Flash OrangeFox
-Reboot to recovery (to switch slot)
-Flash (Nik)Gapps (if needed)
-Flash Magisk
-Format data
-Reboot to system
If you get a Bootloop after flashing a ROM and having done a Format Data do the below:
Boot to bootloader and:
- fastboot devices
- fastboot -w
- fastboot reboot
