I'm making a new build available as some people have reported random bugs in the previous build, but I would like to ask that if you notice any bugs, collect the logs, send them here and I'll try to solve the issue.
Well, the OrangeFox team doesn't accept that the same maintainer works on two different recoveries, https://wiki.orangefox.tech/en/dev/maintainerships As I already maintain TWRP officially I'm not eligible to maintain OFox, lol, but as long as there is no other person I will release unofficial versions. Will we have Official OrangeFox for our device? Thanks for your updates.
The linked guide/wiki has all the infosI read the instructions but didn't understand how to do it , i don't know how to install it Can you help
I am using spark os 13.1 on cheeseburger, which i flashed via latest ornage fox recovery.Thank you for Recovery, i have always used it
it does decrypt A13 , but flashing some A13 roms with it is causing a bootloop into fastboot mode (cheesburger), and only fixed by flashing again using TWRP
tried to flash SparkOS 13.1 and faced the issue
i will try again with some other roms
can you look into it please ,is it something on Recovery or Rom side ?
if i remember correctly i formatted data previously, but there is a chance it was TWRP or a previous OFox versionI am using spark os 13.1 on cheeseburger, which i flashed via latest ornage fox recovery.
Steps of flashing
1. I formatted data by typing yes in orange fox recovery.
2. Copy rom in internal storage and flash it following gapps and reboot to system.
Yes you can, but newer versions have a patched kernel to A13 and you may encounter some issues when using it. In that case I suggest using the initial releases that are in the second post that should work without problems.Could this be used on A11 if I remain decrypted? I want this updated version for the support, I could care less about encryption.
Which Rom are you unable to install? My Ofox build is compatible with A13 Roms, at least the ones I tested and there were several. If possible post the complete error message.I want to flash an A13 ROM, sadly Ofox doesn't allow that.
How do I go about flashing a TWRP IMG with Ofox?
All help greatly appreciated, thank you in advance.
I tried Cherish & Zephyrus neither would boot. I can't supply the error message as I have since flashed another ROM.Which Rom are you unable to install? My Ofox build is compatible with A13 Roms, at least the ones I tested and there were several. If possible post the complete error message.
I'm going to try it on my OP5 to see what happens, I've used Cherish before and had no installation problems.I tried Cherish & Zephyrus neither would boot. I can't supply the error message as I have since flashed another ROM.
It said something like, 'Bootloader is unlocked, cannot guarantee safety'
My device then rebooted to recovery and no files that I had flashed were visible.
It really is a strange one isn't it?! The recovery had been working beautifully up till then.
My phone is encrypted, I removed the screen lock and rebooted into OrangeFox, I installed CherishOS 4.2 from SparkOS 13.2 and the first time it didn't boot, so I rebooted to recovery and formatted the internal storage, rebooted the system and it worked fine, went back to recovery and I installed Zephyrus 13.1.5 directly, restarted the system without any problems, so I believe that if you format your internal storage after installing either of the two ROMs, everything will be fine.I tried Cherish & Zephyrus neither would boot. I did that. I always format data when I flash a ROM. Maybe it was just a one off, but I was able to flash with TWRP.My phone is encrypted, I removed the screen lock and rebooted into OrangeFox, I installed CherishOS 4.2 from SparkOS 13.2 and the first time it didn't boot, so I rebooted to recovery and formatted the internal storage, rebooted the system and it worked fine, went back to recovery and I installed Zephyrus 13.1.5 directly, restarted the system without any problems, so I believe that if you format your internal storage after installing either of the two ROMs, everything will be fine.
Weird because Orange is based on TWRP and the trees I use are basically the same, I really don't know, I would need the logs right after installation to see what's happening on your device.I did that. Do you think that it could be something as simple as flashing an A13 ROM for the first time?Weird because Orange is based on TWRP and the trees I use are basically the same, I really don't know, I would need the logs right after installation to see what's happening on your device.
Wait which version of TWRP are you using: official 3.7.0_12-0 or unofficial 3.7.0_12-1? Because the official one has an "old" kernel, without lineage modifications to mount partitions with ext4 filesystem on A13. And Orangefox is using the "new" unofficial TWRP kernel. If not, I honestly don't know.Do you think that it could be something as simple as flashing an A13 ROM for the first time?
Hi. It's the 3.7.0_12-1 unofficial version.Wait which version of TWRP are you using: official 3.7.0_12-0 or unofficial 3.7.0_12-1?
