if I want to flash a GSI, which partition do I flash it to?
Flash to system via fastbootd
After flashing TWRP, after I reboot my system. I cannot access twrp again.
Regards,
Farhan Javed
You mean after flashing twrp and rebooting system it gets replaced by stock recovery?
If yes, then you need to delete recovery-from-boot.p file from /system (/system_root/system/ in twrp) before rebooting.
Multidisabler does that itself but well if you don't want to use that you can delete the above mentioned file.

@Yillié on the twrp screen we click on terminal and after type rt multidisabler not execute? There is no need to install multidisabler ourselves?
You don't need to flash the multidisabler zip if you typed multidisabler --all as that's basically the same as flashing the zip.
I don't understand what you mean to refer to by:
"rt multidisabler not execute".

No I have not, an I ask how do I do this.

I understand adb.exe, the cmd command in windows etc.

What do I type into the CMD command line to reboot to recovery?
literally "adb reboot recovery". Make sure it's enabled in developer options!

    Here’s an update,

I have now reverted back to Stock Rom and I find it impossible to boot into Stock Recoveries.

I have owned this phone over eighteen months and have never before tried to boot into recoveries.

I have tried every method available online, power and volume up button, power and volume down button, power and volume up button while ear phones are plugged in the same with a USB cable plugged in.

But I can still boot into download mode though.

So this might be the reason why I could not root and install TWRP as the phone itself will not boot into recovery. What to do, I have no idea.

    When in down load mode.

OEM LOCK – OFF (U), FRP LOCK – OFF, KG STATE – PRENORMAL Current Binary – Samsung Official
So now I have reverted back to KG STATE – PRENORMAL, and the phone is showing no OEM unlock in developer options.

But on boot the phone is still warning me that the boot loader has been unlocked.

I downloaded stock ROM, and extracted these files.

    AP_A5 BL_A515FXXU5FVE2_CL23686045_QB51779782_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5
    BL_A515FXXU5FVE2_CL23686045_QB51779782_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5
    CP_A515FXXU5FVD1_CP21942801_CL23686045_QB50597459_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5
    CSC_OJM_A515FOJM5FVE1_CL23686045_QB51677768_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5

They all installed fine in Odin and I received a pass. The phone booted and is working fine.

But I cannot boot into stock recovery.

My only perquisites I have not tried are I have not yet gone through the sequence to get OEM unlock showing in developer options. I am also not connected to any networks and have no sim card in the phone.

So anyone not able to root and install TWRP, maybe your phone itself will not boot into recovery in stock ROM.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated.
Have you tried adb reboot recovery?
    1
Hello, does anyone also have a bug, when the adb command tools do not define the connected device which is in TWRP?
But MTP, in my case, works correctly unlike the version for Android 11.

    I have the same problem.
    SMR May 2022 Release 1.
Managed to get the OEM unlock facility to appear in developer options; unlocked the boot loader fine, states in download mode that the boot loader is unlocked.
When restarting the phone it warns the boot loader is unlocked. Yet the OEM unlock facility in developer options has disappeared completely. Not greyed out, nothing there at all.
    In download mode
    OEM LOCK – OFF (U)
    FRP LOCK – OFF
    KG STATE – Prenormal
    Current Binary – Samsung Official
    Product Name – SM-A515F
Is the KG STATE Prenormal a problem
I open up Odin3-v3.14.1, go through the routine and get this error.
    <OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
The kg state Prenormal is indeed a problem or infact is the cause of the whole issue. After unlocking the bootloader, you have to wait till the option appears in developer options ( you need to be connected to the internet or something like that ig ) before flashing any unofficial images.
+ the problem in the end I'd related to unlocking your bootloader and not the twrp build so I'd suggest you to move to those threads for more help on the issue.

    In download mode message.
Only official released binaries are allowed to be flashed (Recovery)
