Post the error here. Maybe we'll be able to help :)
It just says error flashing zip '/sdcard/twrp-3.0.2-ham.zip' That's it. So no help there

I think I have fixed it but now I can't get it to reboot to recovery. Is it Power and down or Power and up or something else. Can only get to a repair page with options from 1-6

Sorted now! Thanks for your help @eagleeyetom

Power and down. If you are flashing a stock ROM, you might need to flash the recovery again.

Actually I have "soft bricked" the phone having done this and a rom.

No hardware buttons work ( to restart I mean) and it is stuck on logo page. I can get to adb but not fastboot. If I reboot to adb or fastboot I get a screen with flashing colours and I cannot do anything.

Any idea how I can restore or Reflash? I have looked at various guides but none are my exact problem.

Thanks again

That's weird. Possibly the best options is using this method. I once managed to debrick my OnePlus One with QPST.
