Jog my memory on procedure for upgrading TWRP

I'm upgrading from TWRP 2.8.5.0 on my v400. I have downloaded the 3.1.0 version of TWRP to the internal storage. How do I flash the upgrade - since it's an .img file (and hence, it isn't visible in TWRP for flash selection)?

I can upgrade to LineageOS 7.1.1 just fine with 2.8.50, but still prefer to flash the new 3.1.0 TWRP. My memory fails me on how to upgrade TWRP....

Thanks, guys and gals.

In TWRP install menu, there is an "install image" button. Tap that, then the image, then check recovery.

Sent from my Amazon Fire using XDA Labs

So on the twrp website they have the v410 and I downloaded and flashed it but it doesn't work neither does the invisiblek bumped one it just goes to faboot I have my bootloader unlocked
Recoveries from twrp website don't work and dees_troy didn't reply. Thats why title says "UNOFFICIAL", read the thread and you will find download links. I do not support v410, only v400 from me.

Hello, I've got a v400 running stock lollipop and am interested in loading a custom ROM. Do I need to first downgrade to 4.4.2 to load the latest TWRP from here? If so, can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks!
Yes yes you do did also after doing that basicly what you have to do first is go to your PC and get the test adz now don't freak out
if you see white lines first boot or you only have 4 gigs of storage this is normal then you will want to go flash twrp then
Um well I have the v410 but try this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/g-pad-10/general/guide-return-to-stock-t2919039

@Adam Myczkowski

I recently updated TWRP from 3.0.x (I don't remember who made it) to your recent 3.1.x , but it came with an annoying bug: Everytime I restart the tablet, it resets date and time to Jannuary 1970 (until it connects to the internet). The old version did not do that. Can you please fix that? Otherwise I'll have to downgrade TWRP again, if I'll ever find the old TWRP image...

Did you settle for an older version on https://dl.twrp.me/v410/ that works? just noticed same issue but mine was Auguest 1972 and was overlooking it till it started to cause numerous crashes of treubaut and system on 5.1 making it unusuable. 2.8.5 still works great for v410 though and installed 15.3 magisk. no issue. Probably won't risk it again since newer roms like lineage have some features broken still for v410.
