Tried this TWRP on Pie on A600FN. Lots of problems here and there (I can't even back up partitions for some reason). Gotta stick with oreo until an update comes out.

This TWRP worked for Android 9 Pie, I have rooted my A6 SM-A600G / F using Magisk v81.1, but It may be not work for SM-A600FN, some comments on my youtube channel have talked about that They failed rooting it (SM-A600FN). For rooting we need twice to install Magisk v18.1, after install TWRP for preventing boot loop and after install Magisk Manager for rooting. for more information you can watch this video https://youtu.be/1y1p7-Hzm_o

We have the same variant but did your pin or password, fingerprint and samsung account worked after rooting it? I can't use neither of those I mentioned after I rooted it.

I think that's because of Knox features. Once knox detects you're rooted, Knox features will not work anymore. I hope it makes sense.

Can u confirm if I can downgrade from pie to oreo? If yes, how can i do it? Thnx
Sorry for the misleading information on my first post it works flawlessly I haven't decrypted the internal storge before tinkering with it that's why I faced the issues.

And yes you can downgrade to oreo if you have all needed partitions backed up or you can also flash it via Odin.

Hi, i have root A6, A6+ and A7 2018 with Android Pie. After root with magisk and setting one lockscreen (pincode, pattern, fingerprint, ecc...) screen won’t unlock and PIN not working. Example i have setting one pincode for unloock screen, have entered the correct PIN code but it’s still not working (Wrong pin code) and i cant unlock screen.
I have try all versions of Magisk (18, 18.1. 19, 19.1 and 19.2)
I have try all versions of No verity 6.0, No verity 1.0 and Universal No verity
I have try to change many Firmware of Android Pie
I have try restore with Recovery Stock after root but have unloock screen issue.

After test have try rooted one Samsung S9 with Dr.Ketan Fix (OEM Patch + Root method in aroma) you can see post of root samsung s9 xda. With this method dont have lockscreen issue.

Because with Samsung A series have unlock screen issue? Thanks

I could successfully root my SM-A600FN.

However, I experience the same issues as some of the others: I cannot set a Pin, Pattern or Password. If I do, it will not recognize it the next time I get a prompt and if I restart, I get stuck in a boot loop.
Any known fix for this?

Flashing Magisk got my Samsung Galaxy A6 SM-A600FN out of the bootloop

I followed the instructions in the OP to the letter. The result was bootloop. After reading this thread, I tried what others proposed – flashing Magisk – and – BOOM!! – no more bootloops!

    What is TWRP?
Oh come on, you know what it is - don't try to fool me!
    In case you're serious, though...

Team Win Recovery Project is a custom recovery for Android devices.
It allows you to back up and restore your data, flash custom ROMs to your device, repair broken file systems, root your device and more.

Read more about TWRP here: https://twrp.me/about/

How to flash and setup it completely?
    - First, make sure your phone isn't RMM Locked.
    - Download Odin3 v3.13.1, Samsung USB Drivers, latest TWRP's tar for your variant, latest no-verity-opt-encrypt zip and RMM Bypass v3 zip.
    - Go to Settings App, Developer Options and enable OEM Unlock (If you don't see Developer Settings, go into About phone>Software info and tap "Build number" 10 times to show Developer Options menu).
    - Do a backup of all your important data and files in your phone.
    - Shutdown the phone. Once it's off, Power it On in Download Mode (Press and hold Power, Vol + and Vol - buttons together)
    - Connect your phone in your PC, open Odin3, go in Option section and untick "Auto-reboot". Once that click the "AP" button and select the TWRP tar you downloaded before, then press the "Start" button.
    - Once Odin3 finished to flash the recovery (you should see a "PASS" message), force reboot your phone (Press and hold Power and Vol - buttons together) and once the screen is off, press and hold Power and Vol + buttons together to boot in TWRP.
    - Once TWRP is booted you first need to decrypt your /data partition. To do so touch Wipe>Format Data and follow the instructions in screen.
    - Once it finished go back at the home screen and touch Reboot>Recovery. TWRP should be able to mount your data partition. Now copy the no-verity-opt-encrypt and RMM Bypass zip you downloaded before and flash them (touch Install and select each zip to flash it)
    - You're now able to reboot to your OS without re-encrypting /data partition and without RMM Prenormal lock.
