try this

hopefully changing the name in the firmware loading script does the trick for you. let me know what happens

fastboot boot twrp3-6-0-1.img
Sadly just like before, the touch does not work still.

Should I try maybe removing my pattern lock since i have that enabled for whenever I unlock my phone? TWRP has asked me this before on other devices if I had a pattern lock but should I just try removing it for now and see if touch works then?

Another reply, i removed the lock screen pattern stuff I had, i did get access to the usb functions for twrp but still no touch. I did get the TWRP dmsg file though. Hopefully this helps even more.

(Edit): I did also boot the original one just to see if it would work, as stated before, no touch support.

Sorry for any troubles in advanced.

Op updated for twrp build based on retus a11 blobs

Keep me updated on if any of you figure out your touchscreen issues and i'll add fixes to github.

I've never been able to get touchscreen working on slot_b so make sure you guys are on slot_a i guess.

You'll have to ask that in your device designated forums. But to give you the short answer, No. These are highly dependent on specific device trees which are not, if ever rarely, cross compatible even across the same manufacturer because there will always be some hardware component unique and strictly designed for that device. That is not to say it won't potentially boot up, just be prepared to face some quirks or bricking your phone outright.

So i tried installing a magisk.zip file with the TWRP install option, and when i start the install it just goes back to the TWRP loading screen and infinite loads. How do i fix this or is it just a current bug?

I wasn't expecting this to work: I BOOTED this TWRP when I had an android 12 GSI installed and the TWRP'S touch STILL worked.

If I have TWRP FLASHED to the phone's recovery with the GSI installed, the TWRP'S touch DOESN'T work.

Why is that?

Guys i repurposed my first thread here to include build instructions for compiling twrp so hopefully someone will take up the cause of getting twrp android 10 booting and useable. Its really just down to touchscreen and maybe some other small things at this point. I'm working on some other things I think you all will like and hopefully will have some news about things sometime soon.

I'm pretty focused on android 11 based stuff atm and Ill keep plugging away at things but if you would like to collaborate and contribute then all compiling instructions are in this thread:
