Hi, pls help , trying to flash twrp 3.7 odin keep fails. I thought it's an easy straight forward steps.. tried few times changed Odin version, no luck.. what i did wrong here.
BL unlocked.

After you unlocked the BL did you
1: reboot system
2: connect wifi
3;skip the rest of setup
4:re-enable dev mode and OEM
5: boot to download
6: flash vbmeta disable
7: repeat 1 - 5
and then flash TWRP?
Ok .what is this #6 about? So before flash TWRP I need to flash this guy? Would you pls share this file? Thanks so much!
Sorry! My bad. This dev includes the vbmeta in his TWRP, so a separate flash isn't needed. But you do need steps 1-5 before flashing TWRP.
Yea. Ive done all the steps. Add one point, Actually #4 oem is showing BL already unlocked, and greyed out , it's on position.. any specific Odin or TWRP version I need to use?

That's fine. Then the only thing is to make sure your stock ROM version is the same as the one shown in the OP.

is it possible to enable landscape mode in TWRP?
I figured it'd have it automatically but apparently it doesn't I couldn't even find a toggle in any of the menus.
My tablet is pretty much always in landscape mode.
In any case much appreesh the releases you've ensured I've loved this tablet much more than I probably would have otherwise!

Alsooo has anyone tried installing this recovery once rooted already with existing TWRP only to update to a newer version with https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cgollner.flashify ?
I've used it many times in the past but not recently I'm nervous to try it if so many changes to Android over the years might = complications.
Hoping someone has maybe tested or I'll go discuss on that app thread & report back if I have success!

thanks for that great recovery. However if I try to flash the latest andy yan lineageos 20 (td), I'm unable to mount system from recovery. In dmesg it gives me:
couldn't mount RDWR because of unsupported optional features (4000)
Is there a way you can build a twrp release that is able to handle this feature (https://ext4.wiki.kernel.org/index.php/Ext4_Metadata_Checksums)

After @geiti94 and @ianmacd started the ball rolling for the Samsung Galaxy S10 series (Exynos 9820), it was really only a matter of time until we could do the same for the 2019 Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (Exynos 7904). The kernel source was released last May, allowing me to build a custom kernel with many of the problematic Knox security features disabled. What's posted below is a work in progress, but it should suffice to unblock efforts to build custom ROMs for this impressive tablet.
Notes:
- The current process requires you to reset to factory defaults to remove file-based encryption. Remember to backup your data!
- Custom kernels are specific to OEM releases, and rely on the latest posted kernel source (T510XXU5CVG2).
- This is unofficial and unsupported, so the usual caveats apply. Since we don't flash the bootloader, you should be able recover from any problems...but nothing is guaranteed.

Instructions:
From OEM stock firmware:
- Unlock bootloader
- Hold Vol Up & Vol Down buttons during restart to enter Download mode
- Install TWRP to AP with Odin
- Hold Power & Vol Up buttons during restart to enter TWRP recovery
- Install latest Multidisabler from TWRP
- Wipe->Format Data
- Reboot to system
- Hold Power & Vol Up during restart to enter TWRP recovery
- Tap Install->Install Image, select your image (.img) file, pick Recovery partition, and then swipe to install
- Reboot to system
What about rooting with Magisk?
These images are not supplied pre-rooted with Magisk, since it's against the terms of use laid out by Magisk's developer, John Wu. To root the TWRP image yourself, simply use Magisk Manager to Select and Patch a File. More details on this process are available from @ianmacd's topic for the Galaxy S10 series here.
