No, I only build for devices that I have. Even basic smoke testing is a hassle without the hardware in hand.

That is logic, because you CANNOT use any custom stuff on that version. Sorry if you don't know, but installing any custom stuff will not work anymore on a device with that bootloader version, and downgrading is currently not possible.

My bad luck that i didnt know that u4 bootloader update of sm t290 had prohibited custom images, but what has happened has happened and i have already upgraded using the update on a non backed up device. So pls i beg to ask for a u4 compatible recovery custom twrp image to recover my study related data pls.

Multiple sources, for example on the LineageOS 20 ROM thread for this device. They put it completely at the top as warning:

[ROM][OFFICIAL][13] LineageOS 20.0 for the SM-T290 (gtowifi)

WARNING: Samsung rolled out a new firmware update starting roughly at the end of January 2023. This contains bootloader version 4. From what we understand with SM-T295 bootloaders, this may or may not permanently lock you out from ever flashing...

BIG ADVANCEMENT IF ANY LEARNED MAN CAN HELP: Any password protected file named fota.zip in sm-t290's firmware has password fotatest1234 and this password is working as of today and i can confirm it. this fota.zip i guess as i interpreted on looking through it contains sensitive details about signing key and private key related data. also it contains i guess meta files required to use to force-flash in edl mode though qualcomm usb downloader 9008 got by shorting test pins at the back. if someone who understands those files , then please derive the patch, xml and programmer files using ota.zip, aboot.mbn & pit files already found in firmware for using in the qpst tool which if works will free us even from future attacks like these as no ota update can override edl mode/qpst flash as it uses force-flashes. then we can downgrade/upgrade from/to any binary version. Hoping that someone or @Magendanz helps me as my future career is at stake. I beg everyone. Help me and i will appreciate you for liife and bless your whole family

Well, they have seperate firmware and the SM-T295 has LTE. It might work, but I am afraid it might not work and brick your device, even though the differences between the 2 are very small.

But, what are you going to do then? I will tell you that the chances to brick it are very high, but now you'd come far with the EDL mode that might be a better option to try first. Also, this is getting a bit off topic I think. Maybe it is better to open a new thread that is about the whole thing.

Thanks, i will have patience and not try to worsen my condition further. Already i did by updating to u4 binary on t290. Got the biggest lesson that not every upgrade is an upgrade , it might be a downgrade too.

I am Dutch, I only speak Dutch and English. Do you mean that you are on the latest OneUI (stock) ROM for this device?

Yes, I have the rom apart, do you think that if I install the rom again, will it be fixed? Or what do I have to do to fix it?
