I've moved all the apps I can to the SD card. When I try to mount USB OTG, the apps which were moved suddenly become unavailable. I wonder if there is a connection with the twrp mystery. Just thinking out loud :)

BTW when I tried flashing the twrp image I got a partition size mismatch error. Just wondering if this can safely be ignored.

Yes, it's normal... Just ignore it. It's just telling you the recovery has a different size than expected.

@Darkshado, Just got another idea from SciBee:

New idea. Which prebuilt kernel did he use? If he used the kernel of the standard ROM he might want to try the kernel of the stock recovery. Maybe they are different.[/quote]

Awesome, thanks ! It is great to see TWRP on this phone.

I guess the thing that tripped me up about the stock bootloader is that it seems to reboot system (skipping recovery) if the USB cable is still plugged in, even if one selects recovery. Or did I miss something. Anyway, fun :)

You have to select option with vol+ key and not power button...

I can only boot into TWRP if i flash it in the bootloader, selecting recovery just takes me to the stock recovery. Maybe i missed something, my previous devices didn't have boot loaders.

If you use fastboot boot command you are not flashing but temporarily booting from that recovery file on your computer. Hence stock recovery on device is not altered and why rebooting into recovery on your phone takes you to stock recovery. Every device has bootloader, it only becomes an issue for us if it's locked.

I can confirm that works as I used it for root before this was available, don't really see any reason to use it over this though.
Does the SDCard work in the Above mentioned build ?

Might use it just to root for now, but I will definitely want a Native build for the 4G, Thanks

Nope..doesn't..none that I know of..unless boot from PC..

This one is a working version, but no SDCard function, or backup/restore..but most all else works fine to gain Root..I do believe this is the most functioning version at this time..someone please correct me if I'm wrong.!

PLEASE contribute to the Dev.

I have tried this and, at least for me it boots to a black screen and has to be force shut down by holding the power and vol down buttons.

partition size is also a mismatch but i suppose that is going to happen no matter what unless one was to fill the recovery with junk code to make it the same size.

Partition size will be easy once my phone arrives. Most of us are waiting for the kernel source to release.
And yes. Shabby is further down the line ;)

For TWRP no, i havent put out anything new, i said i wanted to get the bugs figured out with cwm first and then i would do twrp but since no one cares to test it seems rather pointless overall.

why does everyone keep saying when kernel source is released? its been out since before the phone came out

Thank you Sir, for your reply..PLEASE count me in for testing..PM me anytime also..I'm NO Dev. nore do I understand code..but..all my devices are eager to test..all unlocked or Dev Editions..I have the XT1045 and would be eager to test any time..I do flash alot of "stock" stuff..not into the custom ROM's as in the past..ask..and I will help, any way I can..I'm personally interested in TWRP only..

ive already lost interest in this, there will be no more builds from me. i dont have the phone, i never will. i was merely trying to port recovery because i had a few people on androidforums.com ask me to. ive already spent far too much time and effort merging this falcon and the common folders so that when recovery was done aosp roms could come out fairly quickly. i stopped updating my github because there wasnt any progress on recovery. i had only 1 tester on AF for the past week so it was painfully slow going for a new device that i assumed people were wanting recovery for.
