In order to install @dr.ketan Q04 custom ROM for my Samsung Galaxy Note 9 SM-N960F/DS (I was already at Q01), I wiped everything then installed stock (AP=N960FXXS4DTA5, CSC= N960FOXM4DSLA, CSC=EUR). OEM unlocking is greyed out but set to ENABLED ("Bootloader already unlocked").

But whatever I do, I can not flash @geiti94 's TWRP (twrp-3.2.3-0-crownlte_UNOFFICIAL.tar.md5) nor @3arthur6 's TWRP (twrp-3.3.1-r3.8_q-crownlte.tar) with Odin v3.13.1; I also tried with Odin v3.13.3, v3.14.1, and @realbbb 's patched Odin v3.14.1_3B_PatcheD.

All fail with "only official released binaries are allowed to be flashed(RECOVERY)" error.

Any help?

How did you solve this issue, please ?

Hope this will help you.

Flash the stock rom from samsung for your device. Dont do anything furthermore.

Then start your device.

Activate developer options in your stock rom.

Activate USB debugging and the OEM unlock.
Important - If the OEM unlock is missing do following -

Set your date and time at manual first (not net chosen).
Then set your date 8 days back.
For example - march the 9. down to march the 1.

Then search for an ota update of samsung.
After that it will show you that you have searched for the update.

Restart the device. Then set the date back to real time.

Search for an update for a second time.

After that you may be finding the oem unlock button in the developer menue.

Activate it.

    Exynos ONLY.
In NO way it is compatible with Snapdragon variants including but not limited to American(U/A/T/P/V), Chinese(0/8/6), Hong Kong(0), Japanese(SC-*), Canadian(W) variants.

    Special Notes:
    1. DON'T FORGET TO ENABLE "OEM UNLOCK" (located in Developers options).
    2. KNOX will be tripped once you flashed custom binaries to your phone.
(Your warranty may be voided. However this may not affect you if your country forces Samsung to provide hardware warranty regardless of software status.)
    3. Samsung Firmware OTA (aka System Updates) will no longer work once you flashed custom binaries.
(You can flash custom ROMs if you want to keep the OS up-to-date.)
    4. All apps that use KNOX like Samsung pay, Secure Folder and maybe more will no more work

    HOW-TO FLASH TWRP:
    1. In your ROM, go to Settings -> About device. Tap 7 times on Build number to enable Developer options.
    2. Go to Settings -> Developer options and enable OEM Unlock option.
    3. Download and Install Samsung Mobile Phones Drivers.
    - Option 1: Download and Install Smart Switch for PC.
    - Option 2: Download and Install standalone driver package.
    4. Download and extract Odin (Samsung's Flash Tool) to your computer.
    5. Download a .tar image of TWRP.
    6. Reboot your device to download mode.
    - Shutdown your Note 9
    - Hold [VOLUME DOWN] + [BIXBY] and connect usb cable (make sure usb is connected to the pc!)
    - Read the warning carefully.
    - If you agree, press [VOLUME UP] to get into Download mode. If you don't agree, STOP.
    7. Open Odin and place that TWRP tar file in the [AP] slot.
    8. Hold [VOLUME UP] + [BIXBY] + [POWER] on your phone and then press start on Odin.
    9. Wait for the phone to reboot. DO NOT release [VOLUME UP] + [BIXBY] + [POWER] or you may not reboot into TWRP.

    Hi guys!

I have successfully worked on build the twrp 3.3.0-0 (first time I do that) for our note 9.
After few days of use all seems ok!
But I need more feedback to be sure. So it's up to you!

    I optimized some features :
    - Removed unused and space hungry System Image backup option
    - Vendor is no more backed up as disk image, save more space in back up
    - Tried to get better read/write external sdcard speeds, seems to match my sdcard specs now (I especially need your tests about that)
    - Probably improve MTP compatibility (USB connection), closer to aosp, it fixed some MTP issues I had with previous TWRP on Ubuntu

I will probably open a new thread and perhaps inquire to integer my build tree in official twrp.
At the moment, as I said, more feedbacks are needed.
