Is there anything us users can do to help TWRP devs? maybe even fund a a2 lite for tingy chen or something?

How can i do a poll asking how many people are desperately waiting for a working TW recovery?

Hello everyone: I found out that:
1) many treble gsi roms only boot with twrp as kernel
2) the following folders are missing in drivers in twrp:
- root/sys/kernel/0/iommu_groups/0/devices/1c40000.qcom,kgsi-iommu:gfx3d_user/subsystem/drivers/wcnss-wlan/ieee80211
- root/sys/kernel/0/iommu_groups/0/devices/1c40000.qcom,kgsi-iommu:gfx3d_user/subsystem/drivers/wcnss-wlan/net
Since I don´t have linux on my laptop, I´m not able to edit it. Might help!

Partition sizes are not setup correctly in BoardConfig.mk for this twrp. This may be the problem?

Hi, can i use TWRP for Mi A1 on Mi A2 Lite because it have the same a,b partition. I plan to buy Mi A2 Lite, and then flash Magisk. But it seems like it'll take a bit longer for Official TWRP Mi A2 Lite to publish. Anyhow, can i flash magisk without use TWRP? It will help me alot. Thank you

Probably because the redmi pro 6 has an official version now and it's basically the same phone as the mi A2 lite only with miui instead of android one.

That sounds good.
The only thing that is missing in our existing twrp is the wifi driver. Perhaps someone can try to cherrypick (I test everything)?
The funny thing is: all gsi roms that are not booting on our phone (Havoc 9, Arrow 9 - which are the best and most stable roms for daisy), boot with twrp - then unfortunately without wifi...
So let´s looking forward - with a new twrp we also be able to use these...

1. This twrp is only partly usable... It contains a kernel (in AB-devices there is no recovery partition anymore - it has to be loaded to cache from kernel) and this kernel has a problem with its wifi driver.
Flashing this twrp leads to non working wifi in roms.
2. This twrp can´t handle encryption. Data has to be formatted -> leads to bootloop unless you modify a file before read this

=> I only used this twrp in a productive way to flash gapps for a ungppsed gsi treble rom... (1. root wit magisk 2. disable forceencrypt by modifying fstab.qcom with rootexplorer 3. Flash gsi treble rom via fastboot 4. flash twrp 5. format data 6. flash gapps 7. flash stock kernel...)

=> Just wait for a stable twrp -> should come soon. Rooting with magisk: see link above!

Update: I just wanted to flash gapps again, so I downloaded the twrp linked in op -> not working @All -> I have always used this one. It works, but breaks wifi. You can flash everything by using an external sd for flashing - for example gapps, etc. -> no magisk, becouse after using twrp you have to flash back stock kernel to get back wifi.
