Can you test with previous 3.6.2_1C version?Hi. I have firmware MIUI 13.0.5.0(SJSMIXM), Android 12 SKQ1.211006.001. TWRP 3.6.2.2E does not ask for a password to unlock data, what should I do?
@tuxafgmur
Tested. Didn't help
offical stock romIs it an official stock rom or xiaomi.eu?
I' ve found certain users are unable to decrypt.
Fortunately they are very few, but so far those on xiaomi.eu who reported issues all have one thing in common: they didn't format /data when they changed rom or branch.
I don't know anything else about this.
yes! looks like the decryption issue is not related to twrp.
Put xiaomi.eu, everything works, thanks)If you use stock rom, I don't think you can update without official recovery.
In xiaomi.eu 13.0.6.0 SJSCNXM there are no issues with this TWRP.
I ignore what may be your problem.

hey bro, that was my bad i selected the wrong mk file.I'm going to look for that.
EDIT: What a mistake!
It happened when copied from my private repo to this one.
Repo updated.
ArrowOS 12.1 (latest 11/19) doesn't get decrypted. Just triedI concluded that custom roms (without Miui) are unable to decrypt /data with this recovery.
Checking LineageOS and ArrowOS, it seems that they use a different encryption mode than Miui.
I haven't found how to check on Twrp booting what encryption mode /data uses and adjust to it.
Therefore, I have uploaded another release for non Miui devices.
Twrp 3.7.0.3F Not Miui - 2022.11.25
Not tested by myself, I don't know if it decrypts fine.
ArrowOS 12.1 (latest 11/19) doesn't get decrypted. Just tried
fastboot boot recovery.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
adb sideload Twrp_3.7.0.3F_gauguin_Not-Miui_Dhollmen.zip
but here TWRP doesn't ask for a PIN. Let me know if I could help with a log file or something elso from a root shell to find out the encryption algo.
same effect, it doesn't ask for a PIN thus it doesn't decrypt the data partition. Please, extract recovery.img from file below and test: fastboot boot recovery.img
You can also download the .zip file for Miui and do the same to test.
I disabled fingerprints and PIN/Password, so the phone was "open", without any key.
Then I tried:
Twrp_3.6.2.1A-R3_gauguin_Dhollmen
Twrp_3.6.2.1A-R4_gauguin_Dhollmen
Twrp_3.7.0.3F_gauguin_Not-Miui_Dhollmen
Twrp_3.7.0.4G_gauguin_Miui_Dhollmen
Without any decryption key, TWRP should be able to decrypt /data without asking for a key, but everything in /sdcard remains encrypted, independent of which TWRP-image is used.
And — of course — even with PIN again it doesn't ask for it and doesn't decrypt /data.
The phone is running LineageOS 19.1, build from 9th January 2023.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks a lot,
