Got it.That is what he followed but something went wrong and system got broken.
Some have issues entering TWRP N1 version. N2 version fixes splash screen issues.

It's a addon activated in developers settings to get root SuperSu not needed.
There is also a other kernel available if you use battery mods or something.
All links and info that is nice to know exists earlier in Lineage thread

I think you did read carefully the warning on FP.Hi,i have Motoz XT1650-03.I have unlocked the bootloder and installed this twrp 3.0.3.And flashed superuser-r259.zip.Then it did not boot anymore.Always boots to TWRP.I installed 3.0.2 same again.Need your help pls.
Are you using my n2 version ?Not sure this question belongs here but I have tried to contribute as much of my own experience with rooting the Moto Z as possible. And the experience has been very good. Without the help here I might own a brick.
But... I just took a load from Bell Canada today and now the device just boots directly to TWRP. When TWRP loads, it takes about 10 to 20 seconds for the touch screen to come alive but then I can't find an opiton that will recover my phone.
So I now own a brick.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thank you very much for the help. I am using n1.I think you did read carefully the warning on FP.
I will make it in bold red XD
If you don't disable verity with a custom boot, then you must NOT mount /system in RW and must not try to edit /system otherwise it won't boot.
So you have 3 options here:
- flash a custom boot to disable verity
- flash an unmodified firmware system with fastboot
- flash a custom ROM.
Are you using my n2 version ?
Thanks for reply.I couldn't find a custom boot.img or an unmodified firmware.Could you pls send me link.Or any way to relock the bootloader and get back to all stock?I think you did read carefully the warning on FP.

I assume that would be the kernel? We have a Turbo Z kernel thread here. That kernel should boot with modified system partition even on stock firmwareThanks for reply.I couldn't find a custom boot.img or an unmodified firmware.Could you pls send me link.Or any way to relock the bootloader and get back to all stock?

My preference uis to flash an unmodified firmware system with fastboot. But I don't no where to find the firmware and do the flash. I do now how to use the adb.

You may find your stock firmware here: http://www.filefactory.com/folder/c6cdedc45a775d27/?sort=created&order=DESC&show=25Thanks for reply.I couldn't find a custom boot.img or an unmodified firmware.Could you pls send me link.Or any way to relock the bootloader and get back to all stock?
I followed all the fast flash commands as per the link you referred me to. I am up and running. Just have to figure how to fully restore from my Titanium Backup that I do once per week. Thanks so much!!You may find your stock firmware here: http://www.filefactory.com/folder/c6cdedc45a775d27/?sort=created&order=DESC&show=25
or here: https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/griffin/official/
And basically, the fastboot commands are always the same. You can take this guide for reference: https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-z-play/how-to/guide-how-to-restore-stock-firmware-t3562717
Only the "fastboot flash system " commands are necessary for system restoration, otherwise use all the commands to full reset your device.
Be sure to use the appropriate firmware for your variant.
And no need to relock the bootloader, in fact I would suggest to keep it unlocked to be able to use TWRP if needed.
I also made the 3.1.0 build with my encryption support (HW blobs)Official 3.1.0 released. Boots up fine. Using the phone unencrypted so I can't promise success on that point if yours is encrypted. Hopefully someone else can verify that
