Just a quick note, if you do not wan't to flash the recovery you can simply use fastboot to load it:

Code:
fastboot boot recovery.img

From here you can flash updates or make backups as you normally would.

I just got back my Folio from repair. The first i did was to check if they updated it for me, (i was sure that they had) luckely they didnt. Second i did was putting cclockwork recovery on the Folio (its a must). Third flash Folionotion. back in bussines. I also have a POV Mobii/Advent Vega wich is also a Tegra 2 tablet but i must say that the Folio kicks its ass, its so fast. But when flashing from clockwork i had problems with the damn soft buttons. Maybe if we could have the power button to confirm choises with. It would be so much better.

You can't use this recovery for stock rom, it don't work. Use the recovery from Foliomod for stock rom.

I installed this and made attempts twice at backup. Though backup each time was successful, when I reboot using the reboot option, Andriod load, but after that a lot of apps FC. In the end, I had to go back and clear cache, data and factory reset. Then reinstall all my apps from Titanium backup to restore the tablet back to original condition before backup.

What have I not done during the backup process to ensure that I can reboot back to a steady state?

Thanks in advance for help.

Anyone can teach me how to do a proper backup and not encounter the problem I have outlined in the question above?

Thanks

Does this one work ?

Does this one work ?

I tried the CWM for Betelgeuse v0.3 and spent several hours to the the Folio working again...

Does this one work, can I make a backup of my FolioMod 1.4, install Folio3x and then get back exactly where I was restoring the backup ?

this one is for FolioMod.

Well thats was what I asked,
Can I use it to make a complete backup of my FolioMod 1.4 installation, then install something else, (Folio3x for example) play with it and then restore my previous FolioMod 1.4 installation not having to reinstall and reconfigure.

Anyone tried this ?

I think you need to flash this recovery before retoring ...

Hello Guys

Thanks for the port. using it successfully rolled backto any ROM flating around these days.

However pls can you reconfirm how to get rid of recovery(i.e. want to return folio to original condition) ?
the thing is that latest original toshiba rom cant be flashed(although downloaded) using toshiba update service & this recovery - it just fails to verify for some reason :-\

can I just reflash recovery, say from folio mod 1.4 via adb ? Will that erase this recovery ?

Thanks

This is a port of the ClockworkMod Recovery V3.0.0.5 for Folio100.

Almost everything is functional except some minors issues.

    Known issues :
    • boot part is not backup when using Backup / Restore.

Update 1 : Cache is mounted at start

    Installation instructions :
    Download : update.zip
    - Copy the update.zip to a sdcard
    - Follow the same procedure as explain in this post for the FolioMod
    - Don't need to wipe.
    - After reboot, enter recovery again to see the change

    Usage :
    - ( VOL + ) and ( VOL - ) key to highlight the menu
    - ( HOME ) key to select

    THANKS to:

Koush : the original creator of ClockworkMod
Dexter_nlb : for the great work he makes with the FolioMod
All the peoples who help me on cyanogenmod irc channel
