No TWRP recovery, but it is rootable and I just did it.

I have bought HTC U19e, its a beautiful phone, responsive and good size...

But with no help from @sabpprook , no RUU, silly A/B partitions, no 'fastboot boot' support. Doubt this phone will ever be supported by TWRP developers. No root means I will have to throw the phone away. Such a shame.

Well, the magisk-install thread says:
In case your device lacks a custom recovery, you can either :
Manually patch your device’s boot image and flash it, or
Use the Direct Install option

Just try the alternate way -may you have to unlock bootloader via the normal htcdev site.

sabpprook confirmed he is not willing to help or share his patched boot image.

What a shame more people didn't get behind HTC.
