@superdragonpt

I have some doubts about detailed explanation in post 2/3/4 and files available in DOWNLOADS tab.

I didn't fin any files useful for the explanation in post 2/3/4: Where are the files relative to these explanations (ex unlock bootloader)?

In the DOWNLOADS tab I found just a ROM. What's ROM exactly.

In the post 4 there is no reference between ROM version and reference on ROM explanation in post1.

I believe that could be useful make a general refresh of the posts

- deleting info about file/ROM not available anymore
- Refer ROM version in post 1 with link to the ROM download.

Thanks.

I had carliv touch recovery on my memo pad, but wanted to go back to stock recovery and stock rom, so that i could sell it.

The problem is that in the flash process, all was going well until it blocked my computer at 72%. Nothing worked so i had to turn off the computer. Now the memo pad doesn't turn on, i can't even access recovery. When i try the flash tool again it stays on "searching"... Is there anything that i can do, or the memo pad is dead? :(

Please help, thanks!

Edit: superdragonpt already helped me! :)

please help me, I tried exactly what OP tells me to do, but after I write Memory, the flash tool displayed m error that failed to write to sdmmc and after that my tablet is not even powering on neither it is being recognized by the windows.

Is there any way to fix it? :crying: :crying: :crying:

Update: Re-inserting battery made it able to recognized by windows. But whenever I try to write memory it gives me error: Error 3149: BROM ERROR : S_DA_SDMMC_WRITE_FAILED (3149)

What should I do now?

me173x bricked

I have a me173x bricked, so I tried to update it with the proceeds of the first post, a windows 10 x64 and I think I was able to install the vcom drivers, but when I start the procedure and shut down the tablet, the computer recognizes it first with the name coclerview then disconnects and reconnects seeing the tablet as android, then the procedure with flash tools does not start

If you can access recovery you can use adb sideload(you need a pc with adb)

Anyway...i was wondering if we can have an android update on thus tablet...android 4.2 does not have support anymore

damn .. the years has passed...

ANYWAY... i finnaly cracked down the major kernel issues, meaning i finnaly booted Lollipop 5.1.1 on this tablet...
Kernel is not completed, so far:
* lcm is working nearly perfect now ( nt35521_dsi_vdo) keep in mind theres another LCM ( by LG ) used on earlier revisions ( this one is not supported, since i don't have an unit with it)
i actually got an second unit, but this unit still has the same nt35521 LCM

* TP is FINNALY working ( took nearly 2 years ) to get this bastard working and calibrated ...

*COMBO-chip (wifi/gps/bt) wifi still has some small issues that i need to fix, but works

*charging (BQ24156 IC) another major pain in the butt to got this working ( got this working just 3 days ago) and still doing optimizations as well as battery tables fine tuning

NOT working ( also haven't spent much time, the *working* stuff took a lot of time, and im still around it )

*sensors : mag and accel
*camera

cheers

We can all Thank Asus for not being GPL compliant

Ye, I'm just working on getting WiFi working flawlessly, as WiFi stops working for no reason, randomly.
This is an issue with my kernel, as its due to some customization Asus has made into the combo driver ( connectivity) , I'm also around Gpio
( power pins) this has been an headache from the start...

When WiFi is fixed, or at least more stable, then it'll make sense to release an lineageOS 12.1 build.
There's no point in releasing if you don't have WiFi working, tablet would be basically a brick

    • Emulated Storage is now readable/writable
    • App Instalation is Fixed
    • Update BusyBox
    • Update SuperSU
    • Update GravityBox; Xposed Framework (Fully Working since this is AOSP)
    • And several other Fixs

    NOT Working:
    • Cameras (front and rear)

    Needs further work:
    • External Storage, will be available once you take your SDCard off, and insert again.BUT can cause random reboots.
    • BT, will give you FC when you turn on, but it works OK
    • You tell me

In addition to the ROM changelog:
External SDCard: as I said it can cause random reboots, also if you reboot the TAB it can cause bootloops,in this case just remove the SDCard and the TAB will boot just fine. Last case scenario, remove the SDCard and wipe dalvik
Benchmarks: Well its noticeable the increase in speed and less RAM usage on the AOSP Betas.
Some guys are asking me why the Antutu scores are so similar with the stock Asus/And my custom ROM?
Well you should check the ram usage/FPS between the ROMs And since the Aosp doesn't fully support the external SDCard, this will give about less 2k on Antutu scores (Storage IO / database IO)
So... If you really want to compare Antutu scores, remove your External SDCard from the stock Asus/ V1.1r2 Roms.
