Same here with my Sandisk Ultra microSDXC 64GB card. However when I long press the notification, I get the System UI notification setting menu. I enabled Hide on lock screen and it no longer shows up on reboot. When I unlock the phone, it shows in the notification shade.

It keeps coming back every few minutes and every reboot for me on the Verizon Edge model. Samsung tech support has no idea....

Having the same issue with the new version/model 64GB Samsung Pro + (black and white) card. Seemed to almost be on a 5 minute cycle of displaying the SD card notification after clearing it from the notification panel. I swapped back to my last year model 64GB Samsung Pro card (silver and white card) and the notification has only appeared a few times since. It does still happen but only a few times a day instead of every 5 minutes. 4th day with the phone and in the last 24 hours the notification has not appeared at all except on reboot. I do believe the SD card is truly disconnecting for whatever reason as my camera is defaulted to the SD card for storage and there have been instances where the camera app notified me upon launch that it had switched back to phone memory since it thought no SD card was present. Eventually the SD card would be recognized again (panel notification would appear) and upon launching the camera it would ask if I would like to use the SD card as default for photos.

Hey guys, just wanted to post a solution to the problem. All of you with this phone, that use an external SD card, are getting an annoying notification that says, "SD card For transferring photos and media," and it doesnt seem to go away. If this message appears over and over again in your status bar, the only known way to get rid of it was to previously just keep "clearing" it out or remove the SD card completely.

If you are receiving a notification "SD card For transferring photos and media" on your Samsung Galaxy S7 and you cannot get the notification to go away, please try to do the following:

1. BACKUP your sd card - plug your phone into your computer and copy off the contents of the SD card
2. On the phone, navigate to: Settings >> Memory >> SD Card
3. In the submenu, choose FORMAT

All of the data on the memory card will be formatted to the correct file system and the memory card will be reconnected to the phone for proper use. The message, "SD card For transferring photos and media" should no longer appear.

Hopefully this helped you out! Thanks!

I thought mine was fixed until I installed today's "security update". The notifications are BACK! I did not change/remove my card in any way. All I did was install the update, reboot and BAM the notifications keep coming back after I dismiss them. This is most definitely a software issue. Between this and the locked bootloader I think its time for a return.

I'm using a Samsung Micro SDXC 128g EVO Plus (red and white) and have not had this problem. notification came on when first put in but after I cleared it, it never came back. I did have an SD card at first and I too was having this issue.
However, I WOULD like to know why the capacity of the memory card is not showing the full amount.

ex. When formatting my card it says i'm using xxxmb out of 120GB but I have a 128GB. I know that I will not
get the full amount of memory to be used, but it should at least say the CAPACITY correctly at 128gb and not 120gb.

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.. I changed memory cards three times and all show the same thing. Thanks

Got my replacement s7 edge today. Popped in card, initialized the phone and saw the SD card notice for new installation. Swiped out of it and haven't had a problem since. So def, if there's repeated SD warnings, it's the phone, not the card.

Just returned an s7edge because of this and because they were out of them I had to get a regular s7. Definitely a hardware problem. Popped the same SD card on the new phone and no issues whatsoever

Quick update to my situation since I have tons of "older/slower" SD cards lying around, I decided to use my Samsung 64GB EVO card (white/orange) which I think is last years model and the phone no longer displays an SD notification. It displays once at boot up and has not popped up again in a week. I did an 'in-phone' format for all the cards I tried before putting any data on them but only the EVO has kept the notification from frequently appearing. Not sure what this means but may help some users with this issue....

I had the same problem with my s7 edge notifications were getting worse. I did a warranty exchange and same sd card no issues at all with the replacement s7 edge. I strongly believe it's a hardware issue.
