Red tint on my S8+. RGB slider mitigated a little bit, but still present especially around the edges.
But how can they 100% sure that you will not get another red tint screen?T-Mobile told me to do an exchange in store and do it under buyers remorse and they will credit me back the restocking fee.....
Weird way of doing/naming defected exchange.
You have to consider that no one searches for red tint and posts here when their phone is ok. So of course this thread is a big misrepresentation as far more people who have the tint are posting here.Looks to me like samsung have a pretty serious problem on their hands. There seems ot be FAR more defective red screen devices already than there ever was with exploding batteries. Theres a similar thread in the s8+ forum and it doesnt look look there either.
I would say the amount of variation in the limited number of devices people already have their hands on is hugely worrying in itself. You expect the odd one to be a dud but not the huge percentage that we are seeing here, and not the huge amount of difference we are seeing here between the screen colours.
Yes I know that, but given this is day 1 of the pre-orders (near enough), and so few people currently have the devices, the number of people here that already have the issue is huge. It doesnt seem to be a minor problem either since it is SO red that moving the slider doesnt fix it. I remember a post on here about 2 weeks ago where someone noticed a display model had a strange red tint on it and everyone put it down to being a pre-production model or someone playing with the colour balance settings, it would seem that wasn't the case! You have to consider that no one searches for red tint and posts here when their phone is ok. I'd cancel my order if I were you. If you think the S8 is a remodeled S7e you and I must have owned different S7e's. Do you think there was a team of five people that product managed the S8 and all were focused on Bixby? There were probably thousands and I assure you the Bixby, display, and biometrics teams had plenty of resources. Let's see how the screen disparity issue plays out before introducing adjectives like "huge." There's been a thread on every Galaxy ever launched about screen issues and those affected were always in the minority. All focus on Bixby on a remodelled S7E (apparently even the S7E had the Soft Screen Hone Button software built in, just not activated). All focus on the agenda driven Intrusive Bixby, intrusive Biometrics Data gathering and NO CARE ABOUT QUALITY CONTROL!
And yes I am an S8+ pre-order customer about to head out to pick up mine from CPW.
For one of the most expensive Phones to date there seems to be a vast amount of Users experiencing this red screen. In the past we have had varying hues of White Balance, but that isn't even the point. The point is it's almost a $1,000 Phone and already, Day 1, numerous people are experiencing this problem. I never even came across someone personally who had a defective "exploding battery" Note 7 yet that was deemed a hazard. People don't come on these forums only to complain if they have a problem. We are a community here, we are here to discuss the joys of this new device.I'd cancel my order if I were you. If you think the S8 is a remodeled S7e you and I must have owned different S7e's. A tad melodramatic, no? The phone's been out less than a week and the number of reports aren't alarming considering the quantity of pre-orders. That may change but it's premature to claim the sky is falling. There seems to be a vast amount of Users experiencing this red screen.

Check on the S8+ forum, also AndroidCentral. Apparently also RedditA tad melodramatic, no? The phone's been out less than a week and the number of reports aren't alarming considering the quantity of pre-orders. That may change but it's premature to claim the sky is falling.
I have to admit - it is quite difficult to gauge the extent of the problem here. We've got news outlets reporting on the issue together with various forum posts across the internet.A tad melodramatic, no? It does have a slightly reddish hue if I turn brightness way down. And I mean ever so slight...NOTHING like anything I've seen on the pics on here/reddit. On anything over 1/3 of way up brightness, it's nice and white. Those who don't have the tint, can you confirm that still the screen feels more "reddish"? Especially noticable when you play around with display modes or red color balance...

That's exactly what I have. I also wonder whether it's normal...Mine just arrived (UK S8+ from John Lewis), obvious red tint along the edges when on white background, and the main screen does change hue when viewed at a slight angle, but I am not entirely sure if this is normal for viewing an amoled from a slight angle. The main part of the screen does not seem overly red if looked at directly from the front. Of course the sides are curved and so the same pink tint appears on the sides at all times, while it only appears on the front when tilting the phone to the side slightly. Not entirely sure if there is an issue with it or not yet, will need more evidence of exactly what the non-tinted ones look like (whether they show no tint at all even on the sides and no tint when looking from an angle either).
