On NA version 3.11 when I first try to call someone the other person is really loud and they cannot hear me. I have to press the speaker/handsfree button twice and it fixes itself. Thank you

System Update menu not working

I just got my Red Magic 5G (Hot Rod Red) with China Rom. One problem I am encountering is that the "System Update" menu is not responding to taps, it cannot be opened to check if there are available updates. Latest firmware I am at is NX659J_ENCommon_V2. 46

Good afternoon Sir @JerryYin,

Just want to report minor bugs.

1. Where I cant open any PDF files directly from Gmail. I have Adobe Reader, MS Office, Dropbox and MS OneDrive but unfortunately none of them able to open a PDF file from the email app. But when you try to open them from the File Manager, you can immediately open them.

2. Notifications for calls from any 3rd party Messaging app (e.g. Viber, FB Messenger) while my phone is in lockscreen doesn't show anything but the phone keeps on ringing. You still need to unlock the phone for you to answer the call.

Hope these will be included on the fixes for the next update. I have the Eclipse Black Red Magic 5G, 256gb ROM, 12gb RAM, with CNCommon_V2.55.

I almost never see a notification on my lock screen and also on the main bar, it's only displayed if I swipe from the top to below to see the notification.

PS2:
As a mobile gamer I have a wish concerning the "Game Mode" is it possible to add inside this menu the option to see the current FPS of the game I am playing ? Like a green number in the top left corner for example ? A little like the application FRAPS for example

If they get fixed i cross the issues so people can see whats fixed. I want to thank you for joining xda and listening to the users. This is very important to keep customers and avoid bad reviews! It was the main reason why oneplus got so succesful.

It will be a big succes if nubia fixes the launcher problem. Changing the launcher is very essential to android users. Meanwhile you should add an option for a gesture inside the launcher to open the notification drawer. Just adopt functions of other launchers like nova untill nubia fixes the launcher problem.

So you means you need to switch between speaker and handsfree to fix the calling volume issue right?

Be careful for the update, make sure your system is not been modified, or you will brick your device. Check the bootloader for detail.

I too have this problem Sir @JerryYin. And when you're in a call with the speaker/handsfree, only the bottom speaker produces sound NO sound coming from the earpiece side. Would appreciate to include this on the next update as well Sir. Thank you

No I have not made any modifications with my phone. My experience is that in the settings menu, when I am tapping the "System Update" sub menu it is not responding at all. That's why it is impossible to check for updates nor install system updates coz it is inaccessible. This is my experience right out of the box.

@JerryYin Yes pressing the handsfree button twice when making or receiving the first call fixes the issue. It only happens again after restarting the phone. Thank you
