No I have not made any modifications with my phone. My experience is that in the settings menu, when I am tapping the "System Update" sub menu it is not responding at all. That's why it is impossible to check for updates nor install system updates coz it is inaccessible. This is my experience right out of the box.

Can you try to install the system update through OTG?

You know this is my first Nubia phone, it came to me with firmware 3.08 and since i updated it with firmware 3.11 and that has made great difference on performance and some software bug fixes and of course there is a lot to be done before we can all agree that the high end hardware is worth an other look but who ever buys this phones knows that your buying from an OEM that does not exist on your country region unless if your in Asia and so there for we are not been ripped off buy the likes of Samsung, Apple, LG and now OnePlus with a phones that cost $1500- $2300 here in Canada. For $800 that i payed for this i know what im getting into and its sustancially cheaper but at the same time in the hope that there is some support and update upgrades... So having say that upgrade your firmware to 3.11 and your be happier or it'll hold you up for the hopeful next upgrade....

Seriously if 700(1500-800) dollar is the price for fast os update.. I am happy I am not getting it [emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787]

Be careful for the update, make sure your system is not been modified, or you will brick your device. Check the bootloader for detail.

No I haven't tried that yet but, based on the video I posted, is it normal that the "System Update" submenu cannot be opened? Cause as you can see in the video, I am tapping it but it is not opening.

Hi, just wanted to know. Hot rod was not available in redmagic store. Did you buy it from some other store?

I am facing an issue in 3.11 I am not sure if others are facing the same. While I have taken a screenshot. The share button appears under it. But if I try to share. It fails when I select an app. Can anyone confirm?

Sir @JerryYin, here's another bug inside Game Space. The screen just suddenly turned black while playing NBA2K20. This happened as well twice with COD Mobile, so I think this isn't a problem with the game.

Must be on fastboot right ? Usb debug ? Disnt used adb for a long time...

You don't need fastboot. Step-by-step instructions, let me know if something is unclear:

1. Install ADB on your PC (this varies depending on OS. For Windows, try "Minimal ADB and Fastboot":

2. Settings / About phone / Build # click 7 times, now your a dev message appears, good back a menu, go to Additional Settings / Developer Options
3. Enable USB Debugging.
4. Connect phone to PC, approve device on phone RSA key for USB debugging.
5. Run the command I mentioned before.

I've found a fix for this @iPeck, @JerryYin

Run

adb shell cmd appops set --uid com.android.systemui android:legacy_storage allow

and you'll be able to see custom AOD. So, this issue is not very urgent now.

Me too I confirme it's work for every AOD even the one from the chinese application

Then there's a higher chance the device has a modified rom and that is causing the issues. Just an idea.

Possible. I got this with CN Rom but with google services installed. The box was sealed though when I got it.

Is there any way I can flash the global version using a different process other than using Local update?

Yes, one line. You can just copy-paste the code into command line. To verify that it worked, run this:

adb shell cmd appops get com.android.systemui

Check this out, where i am the likes of Samsung and LG, Apple are top dogs and the only one that i can say does an exceptional job at upgrading their phones is Apple. Samsung takes for ever to do so and lg will forget about it... Nubia upgraded this phone two weeks ago and in fareness to them they actually improved some stuff... Im mot gonna go into it but you know if okay its useable for sure... Im satisfied so far

Two questions
Can you go from 4.09 and install 3.11? Any trouble doing that?

The second is regarding a bug, when you are in the game launcher, if you receive a notification and enter through the notification center, the navigation bars of the phone are not there, they are hidden as if you were still in the launcher games.

I am presenting a problem, I appreciate if you give me an idea of ​​how to solve it.
I used the 55 charger (nubia), and now I try to load it with the 18 charger, I connect it and it indicates that it is charging, however it does not load anything.

Well, this is my first thread to clarify my identity. As many people asked, yes I'm working for Nubia and responsible for all the tech support and related stuff, including the system update and some of the development work.

I'm here with my personal account to provide UN-OFFICIAL support to all the users around the world. I hope through my effort people can enjoy the RedMagic series smartphone. And I also hope developers around the world can use our phone to make better ROMS. Due to some of the regulation and restriction most of the time I can't provide a direct answer, however I can give you some tips and hints to solve it. So please don't push me too hard.

Because my works on XDA is not officially supported by the company so I can't check the XDA very often. If you got a question just @me in your post, try not to send PM because it makes more time for me to answer. 1. we need following options in launcher settings untill the launcher switching issue is fixed:
launcher rotation & swipe down to open notification drawer.

2. please fix: no caller id when 5g is enabled on global rom.

3. add faceunlock on global/en rom

4. please remove things which dont work in settings and inside some apps & and fix translations.

5. if its possible please release a stock aosp rom where we can change the launcher and also still include gamelauncher with working triggers.

6. dont make recents ui exclusive to nubia launcher. make it possible to switch between nubia and third party launchers. this can be done easily by disabling the nubia launcher automatically when a third party launcher is set as home and reenabling nubia launcher once the thirdparty launcher is uninstalled. so you dont need to make recents ui eclusive to nubia launcher and everyone is happy.

7. the adaptive switching of the screen refreshrate is showing some glitches sometimes when it drops from 90hz to 60hz. maybe it can be fixed with an update. the first red magic 5g i replaced had a similar issue occuring sometimes when i was switching from 144 hz to 60hz manually. its not a big deal since i use 144 hz which seem to drops to 90hz min so i never see the short glitch. We also noticed there is a hidden menu where we can enable 120 hz but it disables the adaptive refreshrate changing the values inside that menu. maybe vsynch could fix the glitch or it might be a voltage table issue of the screen.

8. the phone wakes when its moved and it cant be disabled. only if aod is enabled it doesnt wake but aod doesnt even work.


this is literally all we need.
we need more sources on github to create roms i guess. Im no developer but if nubia did allow devs to experiment easily nubia could include the development made on xda to the original os. its a win win. oneplus did the same.

what I have found is that if contact number there is the code area for example +34 in spain the custom ringtone for that contact doesn't works and the caller name is not show at my garmin fenix.

You have to go to the fingerprint setting and deactivate black screen unlock
