Hi XDA,

Well, this is my first thread to clarify my identity. As many people asked, yes I'm working for Nubia and responsible for all the tech support and related stuff, including the system update and some of the development work.

I'm here with my personal account to provide UN-OFFICIAL support to all the users around the world. I hope through my effort people can enjoy the RedMagic series smartphone. And I also hope developers around the world can use our phone to make better ROMS. Due to some of the regulation and restriction most of the time I can't provide a direct answer, however I can give you some tips and hints to solve it. So please don't push me too hard.

Because my works on XDA is not officially supported by the company so I can't check the XDA very often. If you got a question just @me in your post, try not to send PM because it makes more time for me to answer. If you have Telegram group related to Nubia, you can invite me @yinzicong to join, it is better to get messages on Telegram.

Jerry, please help me, my phone is red magic 5g, I manually updated the phone but maybe something went wrong and now my device is stuck in the EDL case
What do you advise me to do and what is the way to restore the factory system ROM

Got phone yesterday and first thing went to set Nova as default and realized it's not working. After googling saw that it's just not supported to change launchers? Any future updates to make this work? I set RM5G on the side till this is fixes as it's a big issue for me.

They are planning to fix it in next update as mentioned.. Let's hope for the best

But if the 4x2 size did not mess with the items position, choose what suits you. Ive created it with 5x2 in mind.

You may have to reselect the paths manually for the shortcut icons to work. (Gpay,settings,screen share,refresh rate,fan icons)

If you click the date, calendar should open. Clock will bring up alarms and battery infos will bring the battery usage panel. If they dont work, reselect the paths in the item action panel as for the other icons.

It always worked for me with stock connection. No need for an app. (Settings---more connection methods---screen projection.)

No. I dont use computers anymore, just when needed to tweak the phone.

I use TV cast and desktop mode (with mouse and keyboard) tru sentio app with hdmi to tv.

Trigger issue (defeats the purpose of this phone!)

Want to check if anyone else has this issue... When I play pubg for say couple hours the left trigger button starts malfunctioning. It either stays pressed of develops a delay in registering a press and hold (critical for those sniper headhots!). It's absolutely fine when I start gaming so maybe it's a heating/fan issue idk. This is my biggest gripe with the phone given I bought it for gaming. Help is appreciated

So, I tested redmagic controller and felt the analog stick to be really bad. I thought probably a bad analog stick and replaced the controller stick with flydigi wee 2t analog stick. And put this stick in flydigi. Turns out the controller software is just bad. But the analog stick is same as flydigi one. Just hoping someday they will OTA update their controllers. And fix it. (fingers crossed)

Why not use a Bluetooth controller meanwhile ? (Xbox, PS) ?

I use the half controller half touch in fps and in gamespace it's easy to use this controller.. So [emoji28]

It can't pass the CE, so it won't sell in EU. You can use any charger with PPS 11V protocol to get fast charging.
