I started at xperia x8 too , I know eagleeyetom from his dev team on x8,
and well i never see people like that, this is the first time That I find people like this.
I am always open to receiving and / or helping when I can.
I was very comfortable in the community of Moto G, G3 and moto Z play until I arrived here
I bought this phone because I found it interesting and I never believed that everything that happened would happen, if I had known, I wouldn't bought this phone and would have gone directly to a redmi note 4x


If we get together maybe we would do big things but many have a huge ego others can not stand the pressure of being attacked.

Anyway i hope this community can restart again for a brighter future that would benefit us all. And set aside differences and this "FAN" thing but instead support each other in the community

Can a developer add any malware or any type of virus in custom roms? If yes then what about official custom roms are those malware free ? I heard official custom roms have to pass a test to achieve official status ,is it true?

i have been with many device in this forum staring from xperia x8/w8, xperia mini, xperia L, xperia z1, xperia z1 compact, samsung s5, nexus 5(love the communty there) and now redmi Land.

no offense or comparing devices user but i've joined desire, sensation, nexus4 once.
those 3 devices really made me feel nice using android device.
healthy forum
here, too much user demand without respecting dev's precious time.
very very sorry to write this, it's not applied to everyone here though.

Sure, a ROM developer can install anything he wants on your phone. It's especially easy to hide in vendor files.
This is why complete open sources are important...

Official lineage Roms are built from completely transparent sources on their git. So at least you could check.

Nope. You seem to not have understood the purpose of this thread, at all. The purpose was to get ALL the parties together and find a solution that allows for a less toxic atmosphere. Not all involved took part in this. No solution has been worked on. Instead valuable devs have left development. I hope our community will learn from this and mind its behaviour and the rules a little more. Maybe we will see more Devs joining (or even returning) then . . .

You don't understand thing properly. They are responsible for this drama, they don't have to be in XDA for building rom and sharing it and ask for donations for the same. If you don't like your school kid you either change your school or stick to their rules, and violation of there rules == punishment !!!.
If you are in XDA you have to follow the rules and regulations.
You either don't understand properly or not trying hard to understand things properly because your eyes is covered by some group of peoples.

Again, I won't spin things round and round and put my views in clear words.

First of all, mods know their work so stop teaching them. Second up, we always wanted reconciliation, not departure. If that's really their final decision then we totally respect it Otherwise they're requested to cope up with other devs, follow rules properly and help the whole land community.

So, a few observations from someone who follows Redmi 3s development only sporadically...
No, I haven't been in the Telegram group of HyperTeam, I don't know them, but the I've seen some ranting from many users here.
Seems like every noob believes he is entitled to his own opinion and somehow gained right to have all the ROMs fast, stable, etc...
No, you're wrong.
Developers do this in their free time. For free. Because they like doing it. They're doing it because of them, not because of you. It it only their kindness to share their work with us, ordinary users (including me). As BlueFlame4 said... it's not about fame.
Anyway, as almost all custom ROMs published here seem to be made by HyperTeam members (fedosis and TeamMex being exceptions), I've gotta ask: where are the device and vendor trees? I saw the kernel tree (may not be up to date though...), but the other trees seem to be private. I know there isn't any explicit law to share them (unlike kernel tree), but I think it breaks the spirit of open source anyway. You kang code from others, but they can't from you? That's not the right way... TeamMex has everything on his Github.

XDA and this device needs this kind of maturity and cooperation. The good thing is the majority of the normal users will stay behind and support the efforts of mature developers. Just like they did with Fedosis who continued Zwliews work with decency and activity in his thread. Despite not having rom dev experience like he stated, he maintained the most successful Redmi 3s ROM so far. Your Nougat ROM could follow in the same steps. Wish you luck in any path that ends up happening.

Technically we could close the entire section, but that's not the point. You have your own forum because XDA has a faith in you and your ability to coexist and cooperate. I read many good posts here and they were hardly brainless.

I still hope, despite all these cracks and misunderstandings, that HyperTeam will find a way to cooperate with XDA and condone the open-source spirit. I really urge them to put the good of the community over personal matters. I really would love to see this happen. We need to remember that XDA is the journey. We all came here to make our phones better, faster, different than the others. Some of us had a technical knowledge, some started to learn something new, but we should really understand that XDA is still an important part of our lives. We should all treat it like that.

Im not a dev and yes im a fan of everything that devs creates, Every project has its own flaws that needed to be criticize in order to make a good stable rom, but it should not be a demanding attitude that as if we gave them salary for what they do. I hope that everyone on Land should be respectful to wait for the development of every rom whether its Marshmallow or Nougat. I also hope that devs will be patient and keep in mind that not all people will appreciate your work. I do appreciate everything that you create whether alpha or beta state.

What I find unusual and to be frank, irritating, is that some Developers mark ROMs as stable when they are not they are clearly still buggy.

Everything is fine here,only a simple problem.Some users are making stupid threads here,named like--"screenshots of miui9", "miui9 link received today"and "can I get slow motion....".It is a development section,so users must be sensible about that.I shall request moderators to take a look at this section.As those stupid users making this section totally a garbage.
