I wanna make sure that I've understoon everything as well:
will I be able to fix my phone if my bootloader is destroyed while upgrading to this rom?

First of all if you're not going to unplug your device from pc while it'll be flashing - nothing will go wrong. But if something unbelievable bad happen, and your two bootloaders will be "destroyed" I think that you'll be in trouble ;p

Same was for me.
Went through installing the whole JVB stock rom instead.
it might be related to odin version.

Downloaded the CF files twice and tried to flash via ODIN... but...

Added!!
Enter CS for MD5..
Check MD5.. Do not unplug the cable..
Please wait..
MD5 hash value is invalid
Gingerbread_Starter_CFRoot_ODIN.tar.md5 is invalid.
End...

Please post your used ODIN Version!

Download the File again or SDeba you upload the files to other Mirrors or we need MD5 Checksum.

Re-Partition should be UNCHECKED, and yes you can flash Insanity 8.1 after that

I don't know ;/ But if it will much more safer if you'll disable lagfix

You should download the file again I've made this ODIN file and it has included MD5 checksums inside. ODIN checks them and if they're wrong it won't flash them (for more safety). Soo download they again. Today I'll push this files to some mirrors and extend instructions by screens

keyboard Problem with swype

I have an SGS with gingerbread 2.3.3, Swype works very well but the key "7" and "/" are reversed when the keyboard is in French, all the digits of the line are shifted...

used this tool today on my daughter's new galaxy and it works great! The CF file didn't flash but the SpeedMod did no problem. Made installing GB JVK, rooting and installing a custom Rom a snap: thank you!
All Rom chefs should thank you for making their work that much more accessible to new users wanting to customize their phones.

This also fixes the problems when you try to skip the gingerbread base without having to re-install the rom.
I messed around with Darkcore2.1 and darky's v10 5.3, and used this to fix the graphics corruption and no recovery screen.
