Is the LPF file broken? - I used it on the a LPF rom, and now I can't make the display turn back on, no matter what I try. - I tried to open the 2-ZSLPF.tar in 7zip and it reports the archive is broken. I then tried downloading it again and I get the same error. - If so, then what do I do. When I try to put the phone in download mode windows claims it is a unknown device, and I can't force it to use the correct driver.

The phone makes a startup sound, so it isnt completely dead, but that is about all I get. No download mode, and not display in the recovery, so I can't see what I am doing.

Any advice is received with gratitude.

What section at Odin you choose for 2-ZSLPF.tar? PDA? BOOTLOADER?

Please look carefully at first post. You MUST choose BOOTLOADER.

Try to remove the battery, than put it back. Hold volume down + center button + power button for 6 seconds after this quickly release the fingers from buttons and press volume up once. After this connect USB and start Odin.

I simply can't make windows see the device. It pops up, but won't even accept the drivers when I force the correct drivers. :-/
This can be windows problem, but also can be because you flash PDA, not BOOTLOADER. Try to remove battery, than back. And press power button for 5 seconds. Wait till android boot and connect usb. MTP connection works? Do you see the N7000 icon with Internal and External memory at your computer?

When I start the device "normally" I get boot sound. Then when I connect the cable it installs the driver for mobile modem and the composite device. Both succesfully.
MTB driver install fails, even though it has the correct driver. It can't start the connection, windows writes.

Try another PC, if you have the same results - you have only one way. Try to install '2-ZSLPF.tar' with mobileodin. You can try doing screenshots with POWER+CENTER buttons and see at /sdcard/pictures/screenshots/ where you are now, than step by step install/start mobile odin and flash this 2-ZSLPF.tar. But how to see screenshots folder without MTP connection - this is a question. :) You can also try to start somehow Kies Air, if you do - you can view screenshot folder from PC.

I called a friend who brought his computer, and this solved the problem. Thanks for the help!

I'm using the following on my Note:

XXLPY Rom
ZSLPF Bootloader, Kernel and Radio

As I have the LPF bootloader, I assume I should follow the instructions for ZSLPF?

Thanks for any advice!

yes follow the instructions in the OP just make sure when you flash the 2.tar file that you flash is in odin as a bootloader not in the pda, it wont hurt I dont think if you did it just wouldnt do what its supposed to do until you did. It worked like a charm on mine...

Not 2.tar!!! Please look carefully at first post. If your bootloader ZSLPF you need this tar to flash 2-ZSLPF.tar.
