Of course it will not work, the jig works only with older bootloader.
You need to downgrade.

I thought it worked with any firmware?Of course it will not work, the jig works only with older bootloader.

There is another thread that says exactly that - flashing stock kernel (zImage) removes the yellow triangle but does not reset the counter. What is the binary counter value for you in download mode? This did not work for me, but I just found something else that DID:
I installed the new Sheep ROM V2.0 (KJ7) which includes a stock kernel, and no more yellow triangle for me!
I forget how to check the binary counter, but I didn't see any counter on the screen when I went into download mode...
Note: if you use Mobile Odin pro to flash the ROM, you can pre-root it, and then it's easy to flash a different kernel after.
As I said above, I did not see ANY counter displayed in download mode - not sure how to find it....What is the binary counter value for you in download mode?
If id didn't work for you then you probably didn't follow the guide correctly... I just did it and it reset my binary download counter from 4 to 0.As I said above, I did not see ANY counter displayed in download mode - not sure how to find it....
Worked for me on KL7Hi,
do the usb jig work with all firmware (KL7) or do we have to downgrade?
Can someone please give a answer.
Thx
If you have to get warranty service for the phone Samsung may not honor it.If this binary counter increases, what are the downsides??
thanks man. if it have nothing with the phone itself,so there is nothing to worry about.if it's broken,go back to stock firmware and kernel and wadaaaa it's doneIf you have to get warranty service for the phone Samsung may not honor it.
Tested at XXKL8 today.
Everything fine.
I have stock rom xxla3 and original kernel xxla3, but usb jig does not reset counter.tested working, just follow each step exactly.
Note that was flashed with XXLA3 stock rom with XXLA1 CF Root Kernel. then used the Jig to reset counter. Working fine.
