This method doesn't touch your firmware and doesn't change firmware settings. The problem is something else.

After point 7 Samsung Galaxy Note is death.
I cant start it, cant go to download mode. :-(
I had the same feeling awhile ago but read again!

At points 7-10 the screen will not work!

8) Put battery back, hold volume down + center button + power button for 10-15 seconds, press volume up
9) Start Odin from extracted folder and choose 2.tar file for PDA flash
10) Press Start and wait for the completion of the flashing

amazing work

Hello everybody,

it worked fine for me, at first i was a little scary- did not read right, or did not see that little important thing: screen will be black from point 7 on.

I used the same jig, that i used to get my win7 phone into download mode. (omnia7) worked fine.

The Author of this post should make that hint blinking:

At points 7-10 the screen will not work!

I am linux user too. Everything the same, simply reverse odin and heimdall.
Make sure that you haven't chosen a Repartition check and press 'Load / Customise'

You can also use my instruction if you want odin/kies on linux.
Yeah I tried it, after that I posted a suggestion, :) but it gives an error when I put that tar file in firmware place, I dnt remember the error I'll get back to you on that If you say so, otherwise plz try It yourself and Be kind to propose any solution... ???

From my own personal experience, this procedure wiped out my data for some reason. But that was not a problem as I had a Nandroid backup. So once done, just go back to CWM and restore, bobs your uncle! A yellow triangle free phone within 10mins.

Thanks Heaps anonymous572 (and Aiasi42 for the YouTube Video walktrhough)

So a word of advice:
ALWAYS DO BACKUP BEFORE YOU DO ANY SORT OF FLASHING.

I followed the instructions and now my Galaxy note won't even power on... I used a USB jig and got up to step 7:

7) After reboot you should get black screen. Long press power button (15-20 seconds). Remove battery for 5 seconds, plug in JIG, put battery back. Wait for 40 seconds, press power button for 5 seconds, remove JIG, long press power button (15-20 seconds), remove battery

and now my note won't even power on...

UPDATE... NVM... GOT IT WORKING AGAIN

HI Guys!

Is it possible that after removing flashing with CWM is impossible?

Tried a lot but nothings works. Flashing stucks after CWM writes "Installing" and nothing happens.

I installed the ICS Repack with Odin, triangle is back but I am now able to flash with CWM again.

Is this normal after removing?

I'm at step 8 after Jig where I'm supposed to flash 2.tar. However it doesn't want to flash at all after trying for a few times:

<ID:0/036> Added!!
<ID:0/036> Odin v.3 engine (ID:36)..
<ID:0/036> File analysis..
<ID:0/036> SetupConnection..
<ID:0/036> Can't open the serial(COM) port.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)

Try another USB port. You can also try remove kies or samsung drivers, and intall it again. Try to flash from another computer.

For those who's not sure what exactly need to be done. Follow this YouTube Video. (Thanks to Aiasi42)
It's not in English but the video walks you through the entire process!

If you have installed Kies: have you killed all Kies tasks (such as Kies Tray agent etc.) from windows taskmanager? And yeah, like anymous said it sounds like usb port problem.
