I have been getting drain lately over night. I checked before going to bed last night and definitely most of the drain happened at night. I'm guessing it's wifi drain, since I can't see anything else on the log. Can anything be done about this?

Nike+ running keeps phone awake after closing

I think the Nike+ running app is a battery drainer
Yes, Agree with you , plus make sure you kill/force stop nike+ running ( 2 processes) once you are done with the app, just closing/exiting does not remove process from the background and they keep the phone awake.

Charge/Discharge will change nothing to your wakelocks. PowerManagement is a kernel wakelock representing the sum of the partial wakelocks (userland aka apps). So you should find what app is causing that by looking in the Partial Wakelocks section. If you need support with BBS please take that to the right topic, this thread is not about learning how to use BBS

Probably my alarm again but after a re install of lilphone it slowed down the drain. Sometimes I get great batt life sometimes not just simple little things make a pretty big difference.

Hey Entropy512

I am having severe Wlan_rx_wake wake locks on my Galaxy S3 running CM9.
I gathered a little log using Shark App and i set the permissions as asked in first post.
Would you please take a look at it.
Sorry for attaching it in Zip format but XDA wont allow me to attach pcap files

Guys this is a great thread, Ive been reviewing it with a lot of interest and trepidation on my own phone.

Sorry for a clearly ignorant question but can I use GSam Battery (I think formerly Badass Battery) to give you the stats you need for advice? Can you please let me know what/how I should post? Id be very interested in any feedback...

Yes. Its not as intuitively layed out as BBS but all the info is in there. And the detailed charts are very nice. Info you want is apps/services waking your phone; how often and for how long. Check CPU states while the phone 'should' be sleeping.

For example, if you have a particular process that was keeping your phone awake or constantly waking it, try to correlate that with maybe the amount of time your phone is spending out of deep sleep or at a particular frequency. Or maybe a service is causing your CPU to run at a higher frequency when it shouldn't be. Just do some snooping and put 2 and 2 together. From there you can Google or ask here why that problem is happening.

BBS dump attached.

Love my phone but hate the battery life. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
Your 3 biggest culprits appear to be the three kernel wakelocks suspend_backoff, mmc2_detect and sdio_al. You are getting craptastic battery life becuase your device is only deep-sleeping 5% of the time. I have vaguely heard mention of these in other wakelock discussions while researching stuff, but these are not typical wakelocks on the SGS2 i777. As you have an i727 S2 S#!7Rocket (those of us in the i777 community are typically not fans of your device :) ), you will probably have better luck searching for answers in the i727 forums.

Thanks will do!

As you noted my prior BBS dump showed that my culprit wakelock was Suspend_Backoff. Searching I found the following thread:

productforums.google.com/forum/#!msg/chrome/rT0ewNsBx18/0_RqLGBQr70J

I unchecked "Enable Tilt Scrolling" in Google Chrome settings and recharged my battery to 100%.

I then left it on idle all night just like it had been when I generated the last BBS file dump.

As you can see the results are drastically improved. Went from losing 65% of battery in 5 1/2 hours to losing 25% in 9 hours. Also went from 5% deep sleep to 94%!

Still not pefect but definitely a significant improvement. Thanks for your help in identifying the main culprit!

Hello! I'm have a high wakelock from "multipdp," which I understand to mean repeated traffic usage.

I took a look at my traffic usage through BBS and top of the list is "1000 (Mobile) - Android System," followed by Facebook, "0 (Mobile)," and Flikie (which I have set to rotate wallpapers every two hours).

I'm losing 6% per hour because of multipdp. Do you have any suggestions as to the cause?

Here are some screens:

Turns out the battery drain was from AOSP/CM10's built-in lockscreen weather. I disabled it on a hunch because of the "Android System" usage and now I can go all night with only 1%/hour drain. So much better!

I'm not sure if the weather causes drain all the time, or if it's just an issue for me because I'm currently in Afghanistan and it couldn't locate me.

The battery on my S2 drained like crazy (7-8%/hr) connected to D-link DIR-655, that router finally crapped out a few weeks ago and I've been on Asus AC66U since, no more wifi wakelock; battery drains about 1%/hr on idle. I tweaked every possible setting on DIR-655 to stop the drain, nothing really worked; haven't done a thing on Asus but noticed wifi wakelock isn't even present in the battery stats. Happy camper now.
