Wifi and the display seem to be the S2's biggest weakness when it comes to battery life, I hope my next phone doesn't have the same issue with battery life.
I phones have incredible battery life. My mom got 2 weeks of idle with 10 hours screen on.Wifi and the display seem to be the S2's biggest weakness when it comes to battery life, I hope my next phone doesn't have the same issue with battery life.
What kind of drainage (approximate percentages per ?) do folks see if they are just reading a webpage for example on WiFi using auto brightness? I've noticed about 1% every 5-10 minutes.Wifi and the display seem to be the S2's biggest weakness when it comes to battery life, I hope my next phone doesn't have the same issue with battery life.
Depends on the web page, color, wifi strength, brightness due to auto brightness etc etcWhat kind of drainage (approximate percentages per ?) do folks see if they are just reading a webpage for example on WiFi using auto brightness? I've noticed about 1% every 5-10 minutes.
Let's say the webpage is already loaded and I am just scrolling to read. No apps are updating in the background. Brightness is set to auto. What is your worst case scenario drainage in 5 mins? Does it even budge by 1%?Depends on the web page, color, wifi strength, brightness due to auto brightness etc etc
I typically average 1% every 4 minutes (15% per hour ) in dim conditions with auto brightness. This has been reasonably consistent across various ROMs and kernels. This is for general browsing, tapa talk, FB, G+.Let's say the webpage is already loaded and I am just scrolling to read. No apps are updating in the background. Brightness is set to auto. Still depends on page color.Let's say the webpage is already loaded and I am just scrolling to read. No apps are updating in the background. Brightness is set to auto. What is your worst case scenario drainage in 5 mins? Does it even budge by 1%?

You may want to check out an app called automagicSo I've had some pretty bad overnight drain. I usually only have 2 bars for mobile signal while in my basement and WiFi is usually at 1 bar in the basement. I'm also using a ATT gs3 running tasks AOKP. Now in the picture I'm posting shows that my mobile signal is consistent.
One thing I wanted to try was with the tasked app. I want to set it to turn on Airplane Mode from like 12:00am to 7:00am only if I'm connected to my home WiFi network. However I cannot figure out how to set two context's i.e. State=time 12am-8am & WiFi Connected to Home network. I want my phone to automatically turn on airplane mode at night but only if connected to my home WiFi. Also is there a way maybe to keep WiFi on and just disable mobile data and a mobile signal all together. Airplane mode disables both WiFi and mobile network.

I'll check that out. Ive gotten a little more familiar with tasker and was able to get airplane mode to only disable Mobile Data and not WiFi, but I take it you cant set two contexts in tasker? You may want to check out an app called automagic
For bbs related issues there is a thread here on xda where you will get help. Don't forget to read the faqNo idea how to post any stat files from BBS (where do you guys get them) but I have a screenshot of the kernel wakelocks that's draining my touchpad when its supposed to be asleep. Partial wakelocks are fine thus no screenies.
Anyone can help? :/
That wakelock is present when USB is plugged. Dust in the connector may prevent detecting the unplug action. You could look into log cat and dmesg to check if that event is processed.Well i have this vbus_present crap too, but I have a T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy SII. It's making the phone be awake 100% of the time. Running slimbean and stock kernel (happened on stock rom too), was wondering if a different kernel like uber would help or if its the devices hardwawre fault
