i just bought a nexus 7 and it has clockworkmod 6.0 installed. I am trying to flash from zip the 6.0 update but I keep getting the error package expects build fingerprint of ... installation aborted. Also i tried to update OTA 5.5 kitkat but it errored out as well once i hit install. Can anyone point me in the direction of what i need to do to install 6.0. Fastboot is enabled and bootloader is unlocked.
i am stuck at the sideload. I have unzipped the tar file and typed in adb sideload upgrade.zip and it says cannot read update.zip. any sugestions?Wrong thread for this, but you need to flash the factory images, not an OTA update.
See instructions on this page:
https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images
And flash this (if you have wifi model 2013):

Still in the wrong thread, and you need to read and understand the instruction links that where provided. In your situation, sideload will not work. Please read.i am stuck at the sideload. Seems google screwed up on the WiFi version, constant connection resets

I also am experiencing a weird connectivity problem since the update - WiFi symbol shows with an exclamation point as "no internet." Internet connection is spotty - Play Store works, but connecting to websites with a browser is random, sometimes works sometimes not.
I performed a dirty update, just flashed system.img.
Try flashing the boot.img, I haven't checked the Nexus 7, but the other Nexus devices contain a new kernel.
Wrong thread for this discussion too.
