Currently disabling some more apps that I don't use:

City ID
Email (I use Gmail app)
Google+ (I haven't drunk the Kool Aid yet)
How-to Videos
Slacker Radio
ZumoCast

I'm using Android Tuner, so I have the option to Crystallize some apps - keep them from running in the background (not sure if other managers do this, but I would assume so). Going to see how this works:
Amazon Kindle
Facebook
Google Play Music (don't actually use, but in case I do...)
Media Storage - This process routinely kills my battery after taking some photos / whenever it wants to re-catalog. Seen lots of 'solutions', none of which have worked, so maybe this will do it without killing functionality if I need it.

com.motorola.android.motovzwlocationservice

I froze com.motorola.android.motovzwlocationservice and messed around without having it for a day or so and decided I didn't want it so I removed it. Of course the next day I realized that my maps didn't have my precise location anymore. I have the Droid Razr Maxx XT912 with Android JB 4.1.2. I've removed almost everything else with great success. IS there anyway to get an APK to reinstall com.motorola.android.motovzwlocationservice?? Please help!

Get the xml & pull it out. Then paste it & set perms. Odex too.
I think the xt907 is identical sys apps.

Great List, pretty helpful

Awesome list, thank you for putting this together. I have a VZW Droid4, and it is so close to the RAZR software-wize basically everything applies. Some of these services I actualy use, like the desktop/alarm clock UI and dock, but quite a few of these I was unsure about but have been iching to freeze (like entitlement/ hotspot, and Motocare)! Thank you for taking the time to do this.

Here is the list of stuff that I've finally frozen/disabled (either in the stock rooted OTA JB, or by TiBu), note that this is for an XT912 (so this stock version is 98.72.165.xt912) but I didn't see a list like that in its section here:

Note that Kindle, Google+, and Slacker Radio have been disabled for years on this device, and I deleted the NFL-Madden, Let's Golf game, etc a long time ago too. I just went and ransacked the rest on the above list just now due to recent sluggish performance and hang-ups/freezes. Between that and deleting a few thousand text messages, it seems to be running like new.
