Does anyone know how to stop the fm radio from asking for headphones?
I know it uses it as antenna but with an older samsung phone I disabled it, I just don't remember how, and the reception wasn't that bad

I don't know, how to do this but alternatively you can use TuneIn.
With this you can listen almost all radio stations. Of course NOT via FM but via digital mobile network

This has not been tested by me, since I don't use SIM locked providers.

So make sure you have a complete NANDroid backup of your phone in case something

Hello Guys

i´m almost sim unlocking just need some help. When i enter those codes to go to that hidden menu on my GT I9195 i only get the Sub menu SHA256 INFO.

And there is no option to put it ON or OFF.

Do you know how to enable the rest of this Sub menu.

Putting you Samsung S4-mini (and others) into DIAG mode.

I just found another very important code, and have updated OP with it.
It's the code for switching the USB mux and selecting the device drivers
to be enumerated on that port.

To changing the mux settings on a Samsung S4/mini, first make sure
you're in USB debug mode, then use your dialpad to get to the
"USBSettings" menu, by dialing:

For AOS <= 4.2.2, without SELinux, use *#7284# or *#3424#.
For AOS >= 4.2.2, with SELinux, use *#0808#.

Getting into Service Mode (SM)

On this particular model, you have to do this:

Go to dial pad and enter: *#0011#

This will initially take you to Service Mode and showing you
various signal status items, by default. But it's a locked
entry. So to unlock and go to the Main Menu do this:

==> [MENU] + [Back]
==> [MENU] + [Key Input] + "Q"
==> [MENU] + [Key Input] + "0000"
==> <wait ~5-10 seconds>

Now you can hit the thank you button below!
I have not seen this solution anywhere else, and
it required some reversing...

This still works on a Galaxy S5 on US Cellular (SM-G900R4). I also found that I can get to the same unlocked service menu on that phone directly via: *#27663368378#. This is, of course, after rooting and setting the contents of /efs/carrier/HiddenMenu to ON. Thanks for the thread!

Hello,

You can use Shortcut Master app to get a FULL list of ALL secret codes in your device. And you can also get all of codes WORKED.

Install Shortcut Master --> 'Secret Code Explorer' menu --> tap on the code --> Select 'Launch 0' to launch the code.

P.S.: This app requires ROOT permission to launch the codes.

Can I ask how to force the LTE band to stick with just one? I mean my connection changes between band 7 and 20. I mean I want it to stay in band 20. The same when im connected with HSPA+ I want it to stay at band 1.

holy ****snacks OP! i looked for solutions on how to get into this menu system for 2 days. my carrier has a tendency to buy euro versions of handsets and i actually ended up with the brazil version of the galaxy s5 (sm-g900m). this is a life-saver now i can open the usb diag ports and change the RAT lock thanks!!!

Nice post I was wounderin why all was able to enter to service and I with my i9195 no,after reading your post I was able to unter it,unfortunately is different the service menu with the other s4 mini version so cant unlock it :crying:

No, because CM dev people doesn't seem to know how the SM works and have messed up some of the standard functionality when it come to SM related items and "secret codes". Unfortunayely this is not only true for CM, but also most other AOSP based ROMs. SM is usually provided by a (java) wrapper application to send OEM commands to the baseband where the SM is actually running. So, you can try to install a copy of the Factory and Service related apps, as found on the stock rom of your device (using the same API version).
