Good post. I learned a lot from it. After reading, I conclude that noop might be best for battery saving cases. I'm slightly unsure about which I/O scheduler makes a well-rounded one for balance battery and performance usage. I'm wondering if it would be deadline.

ROW stands for Read-Over-Write, it gives priority to reading sdcard over writing to it. Its very fast, but could cause slowdowns during installation of large apps for instance. It is set as defaut scheduler in newer dorimanx kernel for sgs2.
