Okay much appreciated MH3 was the last update before 4.3 if I'm not mistaken, I had to do a Odin flash to MA4, becuase that was the newest Odin flashable stock rooted firmware I could find at the time, I ended up putting myself in a pickle in TWRP without a operating system, so I found MA4 stock rooted, and now I want to get back to MH3.

So I found MH3, it was there right in front my face all along, so I guess I am wondering is the zip files that are flashable in recovery the same as flashing them with Odin and a tar format?? I have always thought flashing a zip in recovery is just temporary until you flash somthing else like a new rom, I guess what I'm asking is flashing these http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2484338 in recovery, the same as flashing them with Odin in md5?

Yes you can flash the above files thru recovery. It's a lil different flashing then thru Odin...
Flashing thru Odin requires a computer btw. Unless your using mobile Odin...
I'd say just stick to flashing thru your recovery, unless you run into a problem...
But your good to go with that thread you linked..[emoji106][emoji41]

Hi Bajan,

I currently have DN3 AT&T.. however orginally my phone is AT&T SGH-I317 so I had to choose N7105 for the AROMA in order to get DN3 working. It completly changed my baseband and my internet (LTE -> HSPA, 4G -> 3G) and its service is so bad!!

Now my question is ... do I download 317UCBMK6 (Updated 12/22/13) , put it on my SD card then flash it through TWRP?

Please advise!

Yes if you want the latest modem then do what your asking...
As far as the DN3 ROM changing your setting on your phone. Yeah it's just changing the build prop setting. That's why your getting those funky model#. Lol

You could flash this update and it should fix your icons in the status bar...

Thanks!

So I flashed the Sky update.. it fixed the icons. Now, I also flashed the MK6 Modem... still experiencing major signal loss. I never used to have signal loss until I flashed DN3. Also, the mobile network is "HSPA".. it used to be "LTE". Is that also just a build prop edit aswell. More importantly, im just curious about the signal more then anything .

Are you sure you're in a LTE area?
And that hspa is reference to the speed and connection you're getting.
What do you mean by signal loss?
Dose it just drop out, you lose signal when doing something in particular?

Has this device ever worked with any sim? What's the history of the device? Was it a new purchase?

Check if the phone have not corrupted efs and your IEMi number is valid.

If efs is corrupted, you would need to search to rebuild.

That's good so the phone is not black listed. When you flash a new ROM make sure you wipe the internal as well also its important you give a settle in period. If you flash and flash in a frantic state[emoji33] it can cause problems. Is the device unlocked by chance? Something to consider.. info can be found here..

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2014982
Also I know you said you've flashed stock but samsmobile has a 100% stock not sure were your stock came from but its a good place to start. When you flash are you flashing with sim in or sim out?? Like a stated below your encrypted file system could be corrupted so a 100% wipe and reload may not work but I would start over with a 100% known stock ROM and wipe wipe wipe that's three times intetnel as well and I would download that ROM from samsmobile.. Report back have Hope[emoji3][emoji106]

If your on stock atm then you might want to go ahead and unlock it. Before you change anything else.
Just use that link that @1drummernamedmarcus[emoji106] gave you a few post back!! Thanx for stepping up and helping out Marcus...

Ok so you did the unlock, but it's not reading your SIM? Ya might try a factory data reset might fix it! If not then you might have to flash back to stock in order for your SIM to quirk. But I thought it was working from your previous POST???
The unlock shouldn't have messed with anything...
[Q]»»»
How are you flashing Roms with stock recovery?? Cuz I know you just flashed back to STOCK...
Did you flash another recovery yet?

My sim card worked before I flashed back to stock. And since stock I have not flashed any custom roms. Just trying to get it to read my sim before I do anything. I just went back into stock recovery and wipe data factory reseted it again. Now did u mean factory reset from settings?

Factory data wipe from recovery wipe wipe wipe thats three wipes plus internel. fix permissions then flash your stock. Leave the sim in while doing all this.. This is all done from recovery.. Also I know you said you have a stock you've been flashing I would sack it and get a 100% match from samsmobile.. [emoji106]

Hey I did a search of the Thread but couldn't find anything on Just the "Stock Recovery" I have philz right now, after I flashed my friends phone from OTA 4.3 To 4.1.1. to Unlock it, She Went home and OTA to 4.1.2. How I Don't Know, and started having some sever signal issues, So I flashed Stock Rooted 4.3, To get her on the Latest Modem/Radio, So Now Here I am, I'm Downloading the 4.1.1 Rom Gonna Try and Reset The Knox Counter (Triangle Away, Already Know It Won't, But gonna Try), Then Unroot and try to OTA all the way back to 4.3, To see if it clears up her issue (It Wont, But......) Then Off to the Shop it goes, She's not under warranty so she's probably gonna end up paying for the fix, but I want it back to stock completely....So anyone know were I can find the Stock Recovery??? I heard I shouldn't use cf-autoroot, but that it will put the Stock Recovery Back...Anyone got any ideas????\

Thanks
Mike
