Awesome!!! Just saw that KitKat TW Roms have made an appearance. Keep up the good work!!! :good:

Oh, and I saw that SaberKat was missing from the TW 4.4.2 list... Thats a great, stable, almost stock rom that is quite awesome.

You ever think that you might be, in throttled land...[emoji48]
That's my assumption from your speed.
Find my Apn Thread someone posted in there recently. And got there speed back while they were being throttled...
Think it's test#3

4.1.1 rooted - want to get to 4.4.2

Just bought the note 2 and it has 4.1.1 but has Baseband I317UCALJ2 and BootLoader I317UCUBMK6
It is rooted and I put on TWRP 2.7.2.2 and did a NAND backup so that seems to be working.
Can I just download [ROM][4.4.2]DN5v2(Ditto Note 3) ROM for SGH-i317 in a ZIP form and just use TWRP to flash?
I have flashed my S3 and ASUS TF300T so I know how to flash but wanted to make sure I am not going to brick it since it already has a newer bootloader.
Thanks for your help.

If you're not unlocked yet, this would be a good time to do the free unlock while you're on 4.1.1.

First of welcome to the note 2 community and enjoy your new toy...[emoji106][emoji106]

Since you use to flashing Roms no need to get to detailed with you. Just download the latestDn3 5.2 and flash it thru TWRP recovery (u have the latest). But first make sure you wipe your complete system ok!!! (Internal...)
Then only thing left is if you want the att signal icons in the status bar. You'll have to flash one of the build prop files in the download section..

I also noticed a few members telling about the free unlock. If you're going to do it make sure you follow the directions carefully!!! Would hate for you to mess up your phone after just getting it!! Good luck to you.
See you over in the Dn3 thread soon.

Thanks guys, I am waiting for the DN3 ROM to download. I did upgrade to the I317UCUBMK6 modem and not sure it made any difference with this 4.1.1 ROM as it has be every where from Edge to LTE and in between. I bought this through a third party on Amazon. The phone is flawless, like it has never been used but when I booted it up I saw that it had SU on it and was already rooted. This phone is for my wife and was going to stay stock but now that it was already rooted I am going to fix it up. :)

Edit: It also looks like I can't make or receive calls with it. It will do texting and wifi. Will the new ROM fix this or will Unlocking it fix this, or is this take it to AT&T and get a new SIM card for it? I pulled the one from my S3 and stuck it in there to test it just in case I needed to get my money back.

Do I need to do the unlocking if I am going to continue to use it on AT&T?

You might want to check you Apn setting for making calls and such...
Go here for more info>>>> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=38641750

The unlocking part is if you plan on using it on another carrier like T-Mobile.
Or selling it later with it unlocked and usable on both networks...

One other thing to consider B4 modifying anything. Make sure you can put it back to how you got it. If you do decide to return for a refund...

Thanks for the Info. I did do a NAND backup with TWRP so worse case I can get back to that. It was already rooted and had the 4.3 bootloader when I got. So would really only need to get it back down to 4.1.1.

Have you guys seen this web page about APN and selecting a different Network type: https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/guide-how-to-make-lte-faster.77304/
I did not see the one he says to select on my phone. I did see several CDMA choices and am wondering if maybe my phone is for Verizon and not AT&T. Probably not as it says AT&T as the carrier in the status. :)

Yeah the nandroid was a excellent idea. Most people forget to do that, then when in trouble they have nothing to fall back on!!
If you only flashed the Mk6 modem and still on the old bootloader, then you should be able to just downgrade the modem back to J2...
