May I ask a dumb question here? I've been away from building android for a few years and I'm awfully rusty. How's OP handling defconfigs? I'm trying to build OOS kernel for the first time and I'm unsure what's the propper defconfig to take as a base.
There are usually several "longterm maintenance" kernel releases provided for the purposes of backporting bugfixes for older kernel trees. Only important bugfixes are applied to such kernels and they don't usually see very frequent releases, especially for older trees.
