moto registration: no, it wasnt possible on my phone

besides...? dont understand what u mean by this..
roll back to what exactly... this rom should be "clean" - but nobody really know what's working any how it looks like :=P

I removed too much and now Text Messaging cannot be opened and SMS are appearing double, I suspect it's the UniversalInbox.apk/odex, could someone send me those?

And how can I remove MOTOBLUR's "News" app and Google Voice...................?

Edit: OK... Re-flashed the ROM and was more careful this time... Looks like it's those BlurEmailsth that caused the problem.

And removed the News app by removing NewsWidget.apk/odex

Edit 2: And the Google Voice was from Cyanogen's Gapps... I did find that flashing gapps works only sporadically through. And haven't found a way to reliable run Clockwork Recovery - It runs at the first instance but subsequent reboots often/always leads to blank screen.

Instead of removing packages, consider merely renaming their extension to something else. Then, if you run into problems, you can restore the package by restoring the apk extension.

Hopefully Motorola will stick to its words and unlock the bootloader and then we don't have to work so troublesomely to free our handsets.

There's a logcat entry when Maps starts...

I suppose it should be "true"? I've already enabled network-based locationing in Settings but... Any idea?

I tried 5 or 6 different ROMS and this is the only one I could restore and 3G worked directly on reboot.

I just noticed there is no Market or Google apps installed... Is there a download link someone can refer me to?

Yeah, Gapps are not included on Android handsets distributed in China.
