How the hell do i unlink this app from showing up in my Google Home app? I used it couple months back, and just realized it's in my Home app, sitting as galaxy_watch and it's unable to be removed. Anyone else? Sold my device, so it's annoying.
did you ever find out? how can we unlink this device? is it enough to delete the project?

That doesn't work , normally if you click on that unlink button , you should see the service, like Philips hue, but for this app, there is none, so there is nothing to unlink
Ok found another way
Home app create a new home move your device to the new home then settings delete the home. I moved it Into a new home so it wouldn't delete all my other devices in that home too.

are you using that new g-voice ? is here also somekind of watchface or widget to activate it? or with some quick shortcut?
Yes i'm still using the original widget for Gassist ,i also have the newer G-voice as well, speed wise the older Gassist loads quicker than G-voice,but both have the same response time when up and running ,both are connected to my google home so it makes it easier opening door /turn on lights /Heating without using phone .
Just Recently gave this wtch to my son as the new Samsung watch 4 is coming out promises of G-Pay still echo from last time and it seems that Samsung may again be guilty of false adverstising .

Create new project like in the guide here on XDA.

  • Name the project whatever you want and leave organization blank.

  • Click on Create

  • Go to APIs and Services Dashboard.

  • Click on ENABLE APIS AND SERVICES

  • Enter Google Assistant and click on it:

  • Click on Credentials and then create and select OAuth Client ID:

  • Select Application type TV and Limited input devices and name it and click create at the bottom

  • You’ll get a message that says OAuthClient created click ok

  • Click the download icon to the very right to download the JSON file (transfer this onto your phone and remember where you put it).

  • Download GAssist from the Google Play Store and install it.

  • Launch GAssist and allow permissions and click next

  • Click to browse for the JSON you transferred in step #10 and click it and hit next

  • Next, you’ll have to authorize the device. Then you’ll be prompted to download the GAssist app from the google play store.

Unfortunately SG4 Watch isn’t compatible it seems! Attached the .docx I made with screenshots. I unfortunately can't test it as the samsung store tells me my watch is imcompatible!

Galaxy Watch 4 is not compatible as it does not run Tizen OS which this app was created for, if the watch app could be recreated for Wear OS then it could work to enable Google Assistant on incompatible devices.

Unfortunately I also have an issue, whenever I try to configure the app, in the moment i click on the "authenticate" button, the app crashes without opening any browser's window...
Any hints? Am I doing something wrong?
(if needed, i can provide the full crash log)
Exactly, me too as of now, still can't get it to work sadly. SM-R830 and Samsung Custom ROM on Phone.

I also tried all the options if you select TV and input devices with limited access, the application crashes. Without the help of a developer, the project is dead. Very unfortunate!!!

I have paired again both my Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Watch Active2 to my Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G.

Everything OK and configured in the smartphone, but now on both smartwatches the Listen button is now greyed out no matter what I try...

Does anybody know how to fix this?

I know this is a fairly old topic but I just found out that there's a Home Assistant UI app for the Samsung Galaxy Watch. Installed it but have a question re the server connection.

I'm using the Nabu Casa URL but what do I specify for `token`?

App is already available on Samsung Store.
Thank you for all DONATIONS and support !!!!

    Introduction
I've been looking at this topic and I saw that unfortunately the project died... so as I am a java developer and I am very tired with all the unresponsible/crashing apps on Galaxy Store. I decided to try myself at C#/.Net to write my own Google Assistant companion for Galaxy Watch. I hate Bixby as much most of the community.

So here is my approach to the Google Assistant companion app for Tizen Watches.

    Installation instructions

    Video tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VfunEUzzFVU&feature=youtu.be
Put it in a folder on your phone. Folder name does not matter. You need to browse to it later when setting up phone app.

Install GAssist.Net app from Galaxy Store. Open Galaxy store and search for Gassist under the apps tab.
Or, got to this link on your phone. https://galaxystore.samsung.com/geardetail/com.cybernetic87.GAssist.Tizen.Wearable

After watch app is installed. Open it. Give it permissions. Watch will say "Companion app is not installed. Check your phone".
The phone will light up and the Google Play Store will open to the Gassist companion app install page. Click install. Click open. Give it permissions and follow the authentication instructions.

    FAQ
Q: Will this application be available on other watches than Galaxy Watch?
A: Yes, this application should work on any Samsung watch with Tizen 4.0+ and microphone/speaker.

Q: Will this be a paid app?
A: Yes, but the price shouldn't be more than 2USD. I will consider making it 2 variants Free and Premium.
    The app will be free.

Q:Will non speaker watches be supported ?
A: Yes, when I develop the text output.

    Q:Can this app do xxxx?
A: The app can talk to Google Assistant SDK Service. I'm not answering for any Google Assistant SDK / Service features related questions. This doesn't depend on me, my app is only a bridge to Google Service. Please ask Google what the Assistant Service is capable of, and why not all features are available. Send query to their support, post on their forums etc.

    How to get the logs

You have to have Tizen studio installed. Watch has to be in debug mode.
Immediately after crash / bug connect watch via wifi.
    Open Tizen SDK Device Manager.
Wait a while until it reads the logs.
    Export logs:
    qp7a7zl.png

Zip them and attach to post reporting bug.

    THANKS!

Two days full of work and I'm happy to inform that we're on version 0.0.2.

    New demo vid: https://youtu.be/qtfn6-p5CQA
(edited video link cause of hotfix, now real time text displays correctly)

    New features:
-real time voice recognition text display
    -assistant response display
-ability to stop assistant talk with press "Listen" again

    Technical changes:
-completely reworked internal logic(once again, I hope last time :))
    -use of new libraries
    -changed buffering methods

As for the question: this app will never be standalone on watch.
gRPC is the library used to talk with assistant webservice and this library is not available on Tizen, end of topic.
I won't write my own interface to talk with Google API.
