Reliable EFS back up and restore.

Having read various threads on this I'm confused on what is the most easy and reliable way to back up.
So I'm asking those who have successfully restored their EFS what they used.

1. That tool seems to be for G900 (S5) and not for instance N9005 (Note 3).

2. While creating the backup only requires root I am almost 100% convinced that the special modem and modem-like partitions can ONLY be written in download mode or from a (signed?) recovery.

Er. Aditya put me on the right track and upon further reading I used EFS/IMEI Tool N9005 Complete backup EFS by dr.ketan. (Thanks doc btw)
I hope it's good for a restore if ever I need it.

Most reliable way would be a straight up dd copy.
