Just read my post again i should have said , great news you managed to publish it , unfortunately it says cannot open flle...
Will try again later...
installed fine this time, did the YouTube mod, worked ok, unfortunately have a fire hd 8 (2018), so need to wait till full function available
Yep - many other similar stories. Just gotta put on your 'nice' hat and ask pretty please.Actually, you can just chat with Amazon, and they will remove the special offers off the lock screen for you. I just did it. They will tell you that they usually charge $15, but will make an exception, and remove for you.
Hi,
Firstly, tks for all the effort you put in here.
Onto my question: do this method (and the toolbox, also) work for the Fire hd 5th gen (Fire OS 5.3.6.4)? I used to have the ads and lockscreen removed way back but recently the device got resetted by an acquaintance's kid. When I use the toolbox, it said no device found. When I use the 15sec installer, after typing adb devices in the command prompt, it shows "list of devices attached" as blank, with no serial.
Thanks.
Hi All,
I found a YouTube video that went through how Amazon Support will remove the ads in 2 mins.
I am technically minded but didn't have the time and this worked.
Go to Amazon.com
Go to bottom of screen and click on "Help"
Under Browse Help Topics click on "Need More Help?" then "Contact Us"
Select issue "Fire Tablet"
Select Issue Details "Apps, Appstore or GameCircle"
Click on "Chat"
Ask for help but I mainly also wrote "I am having a problem with the ads displaying on my Kindle Fire being very intrusive and covering up my notifications"
They the normally ask for your serial number and then you should get a notification that ads have been removed like I did. Good luck! :good:
Cheers,
WD
Well that's good! At least we know that works on the Fire HD8 (2018). I wasn't able to test it and was just hoping it would work. Now, I hope sometime soon we can find a solution and get full functionality on Fire HD8 2018. Its only a matter of time. So stay tuned!

After installing the options by ADB, as wallpaper on the lock screen, and switch to nova launcher, now I see several advertisements when using apps. Playing games. sometimes advertisements appear on the whole screen and others only a banner. Anyone else with this problem? I already tried to see which apps are in background and only appears the launcher hijack. Should I uninstall ir?
VPN based firewalls tuned for ad blocking are highly effective without having to screw around with 20K knobs and dials.install adblocker (with root) ..or xposed+ adblocker reborn ...or at a minimum toggle systemless hosts in magisk manager
also look into a third party apk that can patch applications to remove the ads from the guilty apk of it's a specific one
the ads are probably "free" games you pay in ad revenue by watching ads while playing ...pay fir pro version .....

And yeah, man up and pay for the pro version for anything you use more than casually.
To start off I just want to let you all know that the second you are done completing the steps in this tutorial you will be the happy owner of a clean lockscreen without cluttered ads. In my previous post, I shared a method with you that momentarily removed the ads from your lockscreen without a PC. Today, I'm going to perfect my previous method and can say upfront that this method does indeed REMOVE LOCKSCREEN ADS PERMANENTLY! Don't believe me? Try the method for yourself and let me know if it worked for you or not. So, without further ado... let's get started with the tutorial. While this guide does still work, I'd highly recommend you check out the Fire Toolbox! The Toolbox is not only capable of removing the lockscreen ads, but it's also capable of installing custom launchers, custom keyboards, Play Services, and so much more! We hope to see you there!

This works for Fire OS 7.3.2.4 with just the adb commands. So so sorry I updated to the latest firmware with the old 2019 Fire HD10 (PS7322/2547). But may have stumbled upon away to disable Lockscreen Ads, and they stay disabled after multiple reboots, only thing is if I have remapped the right lockscreen shortcut that is normally set as Special Offers lockscreen shortcut, it then reverts to the camera shortcut after a reboot.
Just disabled some apps, changed some permissions, and flipped some settings. If anybody has the time to narrow it down to the exact combination that allowed lockscreen Ads to be disabled please do, I am thinking modifying the permissions wasn't part of the fix, but it couldn't hurt to do. FYI am also using Automate app with the Lockscreen Flow, and Custom Lockscreen Wallpaper Flow, and a modified Backdrop AndroidTV screensaver app to run as the tablet screensaver while charging.
