For those who want to save some battery consumption, stock battery falls short.

can also delete the contents of the folder /system/preinstall, but this is optional.

Requirements:
* Original Copy "system/app, if some mistake.
* Access to root ICS 4.0.4
* RootExplorer

In short, it can be done without any problem, the Atrix 2 with 4.0.4 is lightweight, saves battery, more memory you have, you have fewer processes.

This has been covered many times.

You do not remove any bloat, period. The ONLY thing that is safe is to freeze it, with something like chefs freezer from the play store.

If you remove anything you will not be able to get any updates/bug fix releases, as the installers check for ALL bloat.

Next time please search first, as this has been covered many times now over the last year.

I added 20 more to the original post.

My goal doing this was to reduce the number of services always running so I have more ram and speed. Also battery life got much better before it will drain 20-30% overnight, now stays within 10%.
Android OS battery consumption has gone down a lot, before it will be the biggest drain (sometimes more than screen)

If you guys have any trouble with FCs or something, just put back the ".apk" that you deleted, and reboot, apps will appear again.

Jim was right. there is no point in deleting or renaming them. just freeze them. It has the exact same effect, but is easy to revert.

bloatware issue

hi m using galaxy s duos n i hv recently rooted it. Somehow i think i messed up wit bloatware n nw i cud nt find media provider, media uploader in my app manager. And m unable to dld n update apps frm google play, i get an error 491 followed by 'unfortunately android.process.media has stopped.

Nw i cnt download the whole 550mb rom jst for dose 2 files. So plz cn u giv me sm link or jst help me dld jst dose 2 apks please?
